It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Zachary Kenneth Birnie of Courtice on March 27, 2022, at the age of 29.

Zachary was Born at Toronto East General hospital on October 6, 1992, to parents Debbie Ann Lock and Steven Allan Birnie.

Zach attended Courtice Secondary School and was a graduate from Bowmanville High School.

He later became a shingler and took a lot of pride in his work.

He was known by his employers as being a hard worker and always having a smile on his face.

Zachary was a proud Canadian and enjoyed being outdoors, especially his time spent in Buckhorn at the cottage, fishing, swimming and camping. He also loved sports.

He played football, rugby and soccer but was particularly good at and enjoyed baseball; He would almost always be sporting a Toronto Blue Jays hat!

In his spare time if Zach wasn’t at the gym working out because he took a lot of pride in his health and physical fitness or outdoors, you would find him gaming online with friends, or watching Anime geeking out! Zach also loved music and had quite the eclectic taste.

He would sing & dance around to music of any genre! Zach was one of a kind. He will be remembered for his good-natured personality, his ability to make everyone laugh, and of course his own ridiculously infectious laugh!

Zach valued and loved his family and friends very much.

He will be forever remembered by his mother Debbie, father Steve, big sister Ashley, big brother Tristan and little sister Samantha, his Irish twin.

Zachary will also be fondly remembered by his nephew Denzel, lifelong friends Steven & Matt as well as his grandparents, many aunts & uncles, cousins and members of extended family. Zach will be sadly missed by KeKe his beloved rottweiler.

She was his shadow, following him wherever he went and laid by his side until his very last day. Zach was very much loved and left us much too soon.

We will miss him profoundly. Our family is sincerely grateful to everyone who have given us support and comfort during this time of loss

A visitation will be held for Zachary at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL April 9, 2022, from 3 - 5 PM.

All family and friends are encouraged to attend.

Zivko Kotlarovski

Zivko Kotlarovski

Listed in

March 11, 1937 - April 22, 2021

Zivko passed away peacefully, after a long battle with cancer, on Thursday April 22, 2021 at the age of 84.

He was predeceased by his wife Zlatka (nee Najdovski) and his brothers Naum and Peter.

Born in Resen, Macedonia to Sotir and Angya, Zivko grew up in a farming family.

He became a skilled carpenter, an avid soccer player who fiercely represented his city, and served his country for two years as a soldier in the Yugoslavian army.

In 1964 he married Zlatka, and in 1965 God blessed them with their son Sashko (Michelle).

The family emigrated to Australia, and then later to Canada in 1970. Throughout his life Zivko worked hard and sacrificed for his family.

Whether it was family, neighbours, co-workers, and later in his life the caregivers at the nursing home, everyone knew him as charming, friendly, and ready to greet them with a smile.

Though proud of his Macedonian heritage, one of his proudest moments came when he became a Canadian citizen.

More than anything in the world, Zivko loved his grandchildren Michael, Christopher, and Emily. They were the joy and focus of his life, and being their “Dedo” was a title he cherished and wore proudly. Buying toys, pizza, or whatever was needed was only a brief phone call or shopping trip away. There was nothing Zivko would not do for his grandchildren. Zivko was a very religious man and displayed his faith in his home and in his life.

We know Zivko is now at rest with the Lord. He will be missed by all of us who were blessed to have him as part of our live. The Visitatation and Funeral Service are Private by invitation only through the family.

Because of Covid-19 restrictions, the Visitation at McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, Ontario on Sunday April 25, 2021 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service at St. Nedela Macedonian Orthodox Church (485 Bayly St W, Ajax, Ontario L1S 6M7) on Monday April 26, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. followed by the burial are private by invitation only through the family.
