August 23, 1940 – February 1, 2019Passed away on Friday February 1st, 2019 at Hillsdale Estates.Frank was in his 79th year.Beloved husband of Janet Connors (nee: Backwell) for 58 years.Frank leaves behind his sons Todd (Victoria Curry, JoAnne Marsolais), Brad (Laura), Craig (Donna) and grandchildren Christie, Ryan, Lexie, Emma, Annie, Ethan, Alexa, & Ty.Brother of Alan, Robert, Diana Robbins and Gail Robinson.Predeceased by his brother Ken, sister Arlene McDonald and his parents Frank & Anne Connors. Frank was in transportation for 58 years, he began in sales then started his own business which led to him representing two companies in the United States.Later Frank and a partner opened York Transport, which continues on today as an international transportation company. Frank enjoyed his time as Sports Chairman and Hockey Coach at Woodview Park.Frank was proud to have served as Chairman of The Ontario Truck Associationand member of the Toronto Truck Association.In 2000 Frank was diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease and the family began the difficult journey through the illness.A celebration of Frank’s Life will be held on Saturday April 6th, 2019 at the Oshawa Golf & Curling Club, 160 Alexandra Street, from 2pm to 5pm.Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region would be appreciated by the family.

1958 - 2019 Fiona Elizabeth Watson (nee Shanahan) of Whitby, Ontario passed away due to health complications on Tuesday January 22, 2019.She was 60 years of age.Fiona is now reunited with the love of her life, the late Alan Watson and is survived by her sons Jeffrey and Allan (Michelle).Adored Nanny to grandchildren Owen, Taylor and Ty.Cherished daughter of Maureen and Godfrey Shanahan. Fierce and loving big sister to Eamon, Kevin (Bev), Sean (Jill) and Joanne.Fun loving Aunt to Bradley, Megan, Emma, Caitlin, and Abby. Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday January 6, 2019 in his 82nd year with his family by his side.Forrest will be sadly missed by his loving wife Janet nee (Burnie).Forrest was a Brother to Margaret (predeceased) Irene, Evie, and Sarah.He was a devoted Father to Robert (Bonnie) Lynda (Greg), Jim (Debbie).Forrest was a loving Papa to Ben (Allison), Luke (Melissa), Alanna, and Mike (Leah).He also had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.Forrest enlisted in the Canadian Army where he was a Corporal. He served with the Royal Canadian Signals “K” Troop where he entertained the troops by doing aerial acrobats on his motorcycle.He is a former employee of General Motors where he was employed for over 30 years.Forrest loved going to Florida for the winters. He was an avid motorcycle rider well into his senior years.The biggest joy for Forrest was spending time with his family. He loved dogs and he missed very much his little companion Nugget.Visitation will take place at DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa (905) 440 3595, on Friday Jan 11, 2019. From 2-4pm and 7-9pm.Burial will take place in late spring in Miramichi, New Brunswick where he always called home.Forrest had many health issues he had to contend with over the past several years.He was such a strong and very determined man. He overcame many health struggles. The family would like to thank the kindness of St Elizabeth Home Care and the Personal Support Workers for their continual care.
