1958 - 2022

Clayton Joseph Corcoran – dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend – passed away in Toronto, ON on Wednesday July 6th, 2022.

Clayton was born to Joseph and Mercedes Corcoran in St. John’s, NL (via St. Mary’s/Riverhead) on January 8th, 1958.

He is survived by his wife Wendy of Ajax, ON; his two sons: Ryan of Charlotte, NC and Brandon of Ajax, ON; his grandsons Liam and Lucas of Charlotte, NC.

Clayton is also survived by his twin brother Terry; his brother Maurice (and wife Patricia); and his brother Tim (and wife Glenda); his sisters Louise; Sylvia (and husband Ronnie); Irene (and husband Dave); Ann (and husband Barry); Marion (and husband Don); Edna (and husband Kevin); and Marina.

Gone but not forgotten are Clayton’s parents, and his sisters Maureen, Rose, and Marg.

He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Margie, Sandy, and Lori, as well as his brother-in-law Trevor.
Equal parts old-school and ahead of his time; Clayton lived to help others.

He thrived on it. Mere words cannot illuminate the impact he had on everyone lucky enough to have crossed paths with him.

He had a kind soul. He truly cared about people. He would take any amount of time to find out how they were doing and try to make them feel a little better.

Cancer may have won in the end but Clayton never stopped fighting. After initial remission he was back to work, doing what he loved best: making everyone else’s life easier. It may have taken his body, but it never took his soul. Dad, you will live on in our hearts forevermore. The world is worse off with you gone, but heaven is a better place today.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in Clayton’s name.

Private family cremation service has taken place.
