It is with great sadness but also with many cherished memories that we announce the passing of Donna Eleanor Senior.
On April 12, 2023 Donna peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her family. She battled cancer with courage for over 5 years and was an inspiration to the power of positive thinking.
Born in Toronto Ontario Canada, on February 2, 1946.
Her Family was her world where she showed her love, patience and kindness. She lived her life with Class, Grace and Faith.
She was the loving wife of Ralph Carl Senior.(pre-deceased).
Donna was a loving Mother to Tracy Senior (pre-deceased) Matthew Dale Senior (Michelle Senior), Dawn Anita Senior.
She was a loving grandmother to Dalton Senior (Alyssa Wolter) Cassidy Senior, Alexis Senior (John Beattie) (Dale & Michelle) Nathaniel Ramdeen, Lillian Ramdeen, Gabriel Ramdeen (Dawn) Great Grandmother to Colton Senior and Aurora Senior (Dalton & Alyssa).
The Family will hold a private Interment.

Passed away at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa on Wednesday April 12th, 2023 at 94 years of age.
Beloved wife of the late Anthony Joseph Meringer.
Loving mother of Cathy (Chris) Griffin, Peter, Gregory (Terri), Daniel (Mia), James (Teri) and Anthony (Tracy).
Leaving fond memories with her grandchildren Crispen, Laurie, Devin, Matthew, Krista, Sarah, Kristy, Kyle, Jade, Brian, Blane, Michelle and Sadie, and her many great grandchildren.
Survived by her sister Leona and her brother Wally. Doris will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Well known for her community work as a member of St. Mary of the People Church and Daughters of Isabella.
Doris worked as a Registered Nurse at Oshawa General Hospital for many years.
A very special thank you to the staff on Blueberry Hill at Hillsdale Estates for their care and compassion over the last 3 years.

December 5, 1943 – April 9, 2023
On Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, David Kovack, beloved husband and father, passed away at his home in Pontypool, Ontario, at age 79.
Born on Dec 5, 1943 in Oshawa, Ontario, Dave was the son of Andrew and Anna Kovach and the youngest of their four children: Tim, Lydia, and Ann. He spent his formative years in the Oshawa area attending Donovan High School where he participated in a variety of sports, developing his lifelong passion for the outdoors. Dave went on to become an electrician, enjoying his occupation for many years, and on Aug 23, 1969 he married the love of his life, Joyce Kovack (nee Roxburgh). They enjoyed 53 years full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Dave is survived by his wife Joyce, their two children Kimberly Kovack and Kerri Kovack, his two son-in-laws Paul Pfeiffer and Eric Radke, grandchildren Joycelene Radke and David Pfeiffer, as well as an extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A solid Christian faith offered Dave comfort and shaped him throughout the course of his life, making him a strong role model, guiding his children with positive values and morals. His kindness and compassion was evident to all he met. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Dave would be there to assist family or neighbours any way he could. He shared his love of cooking and food in that eastern European tradition with all who stopped by for a visit.
For all of us fortunate enough to have known him, Dave will remain as an indelible imprint on our lives and in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at Newcastle Funeral Home, 386 Mill St S, Newcastle, on April 21, 2023, visitation starting at 12:00.

After a three-year, hard fought battle with aggressive prostate cancer, Derek passed away at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, in Lindsay, Ontario, with his devoted wife at his side.
Beloved husband and best friend to Penny (nee Piper) for 56 years and long-time friend for 64 years.
Cherished and much-loved father to Kevin (Wendy), Susan and loving grandfather (Papa) to Kyle and Lucas Remmer. Son of the late Leslie and Dorothy Hargreaves and loved brother to Donna (Don) Ditchburn.
Derek was the loved brother-in-law to Michael (Carol) Piper, Bob (Catherine) Piper, Pat (Wendy) Piper, Jackie (Dave) Bryan, the late Rick Piper (2022) (Pat) and Cathy (Ian) Redpath. Loving uncle and great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Special friend to many.
Derek was an electrician with the IBEW Local 353 for over 50 years and a teacher with Emery Collegiate at the North York Board of Education for 27 years.
Nothing else mattered to him, family was everything.
Our family is grateful for the wonderful care and treatment received from the staff at Ross Memorial Hospital, Palliative Care Wing in his final days. They are truly angels.

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Diane Graham-Ingham on April 5th, 2023 in her 71st year.
Fondly remembered as an ardent sports fan and giving by nature, Diane passed away peacefully at Mount Sinai Hospital with her son by her side.
Predeceased by her parents Michael Karas and Mary Karas (nee Korchynski) and her sister JoAnne Hoover.
Survived by her sisters Cathy Fleming, Ashley Karas and brother Christopher Karas.
Loving mother and best friend of Robert Halick. Beloved by her daughter-in-law Sharon and cherished Nana of Jack and Ryan.
Di loved to cook and with Bon Jovi providing the soundtrack, spent countless hours at the stove often for the benefit of others rather than herself.
She was a second Mom to many members of the ‘89/90 Kiwanis Major Midget hockey team, never missing a game and always happy to host a party.
She was a passionate supporter of Golden Rescue and positively changed the lives of the dogs she adopted. As she did to all of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life is to follow.

Don will be missed greatly by all and remembered forever by his family, friends and neighbours.
Proud General Motors retiree, after more than 30 years of dedicated and outstanding service.
Don loved cars, trucks, trains, boats and pretty much anything with a motor.
Don and Fran enjoyed every moment of their more than 30 years together. Florida, Bobcaygeon, their travels, friends and most of all family get togethers.
Don was a proud and independent man who was supported tremendously by his kind and loving neighbours, special thanks to everyone for your love and care throughout the years.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donna-Lee Sabo, born March 1, 1954 in Oshawa, announce her passing on April 2, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Donna was married to her soulmate Andy on July 26, 1980 and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage.
Donna was predeceased by her parents Beverly and Donald Imrie.
Donna is survived by her brother George (Diane) of Lindsay and predeceased by her sister Marilyn Sunderland and her brother Gerald Imrie. Donna will be greatly missed by her nieces Pam (David) Garniss and Kelly Herrmann and her nephew Carey (Lori) Sunderland. Donna had great love for all her great nieces and nephews: Ryan, Andrea, Cory, Kevin, Dylan and Daniel, as well as her great-great nieces and nephews: Brodie, Mason and Rosalina, Rylin, Ethan, Kara and Memphis.
Donna was a retiree of General Motors in Oshawa. She spent 32 years at GM and made many life long relationships there.
Nothing meant more to Donna than spending time with Andy and her relatives. Her greatest love was to be with the babies and watch them grow.
Donna had many friends that came from all walks of life that were able to enjoy her kindness and generosity and share many laughs. Donna was a very uninhibited loving soul who showed her many sides to all with a strong vibrant personality along with her vibrant hair colour choices.

It is with great sadness and much sorrow that we announce that Deborah Ann passed away on April 1st, 2023.
Beloved sister of Ron (Deborah), and Art (Kim).

Predeceased by her parents Art and Shirley, brother Jeff and sister-in-law Rebecca.
Loving Aunt to Jeffrey (Dawn), Jonathan, Elizabeth, Michael, Daniel, Jeremiah (Caitlin), Aaron (Kristi), Rachel (James), Kurtis and Lauren. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and many dear friends who she cherished spending time with at her favourite place, the cottage on Rice Lake.
She will be fondly remembered for her kind and generous spirit, unwavering love of family, and her sarcastic, and sometimes nutty sense of humour.
Debbie’s last few years were challenging but she faced her battle with cancer with courage and grace.

DECEMBER 24, 1931 – MARCH 30, 2023
Passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023 at the age of 91.
Predeceased by her husband, Jim and her daughters Barbara and Linda.
Survived by her children Valerie (Dave), Wesley (Diane), Marie and son-in-laws Roger and Alex. Grandmother to 11 grandchildren, Great-Grandmother to 14 great-grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandmother to 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Doreen was born on December 24th, 1931 in Parry Sound, Ontario to Joseph and Ellen Deveton.
She married Jim Scott in 1951 and moved to Orillia, Ontario.
There, they raised their five children, later moving to Orangeville in 1972. Doreen was an excellent baker and made the best butter tarts and lemon meringue pie.
She also enjoyed fishing and vacationing in Brownsville, Texas. While living in Havelock, Doreen and Jim often hosted family gatherings, which are vividly remembered by their grandchildren to this day. After Jim passed away in 2002, Doreen spent time in both Oshawa and Orillia.
She enjoyed being around her large family, going out for breakfast and watching the Blue Jays play. Doreen will be fondly remembered by all who knew her as well as those who cared for her.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King St. E. on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 from 12:30 pm until time of Service of Remembrance in the chapel at 1:30 pm.
