Devoted mother and best friend of Debbie Brooks and her husband Bill.

Honorary mother to Dave and Marg Brooks, amazing grandmother to Susan Brooks and partner Shayne Hartin, Lynda Brooks – Upton and husband Peter.
Adored great-grandmother of Isabella Brooks and Kade Upton.
Loving doggie grandmother to Hayley and Maggie May.
Carol was a dedicated employee with Scotiabank for 41 years.
Upon her retirement in 1988, she became an avid walker, walking hundreds of kilometers.
She will be fondly remembered for her generosity, her willingness to help others, and her uncanny ability to listen without passing judgement.

Charles Frederick Beers

Died peacefully, after a short stay in hospital, on May 27, 2022, in his 89th year.
Freddie was the loving husband of Demarris for over 64 years.
He was a kind and devoted father to his children, Kathryn (Wayne) and the late Greg (Debbie).
He was a proud Papa to his grandchildren Megan, Colin, Katie and Erin.
Freddie immigrated to Canada from Northern Ireland in 1956 and worked hard to build a life with Dee.
He owned a successful insurance brokerage, Benness and Beers, for over 40 years.
No matter where Freddie was his laughter and love of life was infectious. The family wishes to thank the staff at Centenary Hospital for the care and compassion during his stay there.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, from 4-8 p.m. at The SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRES Pickering, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering.
A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, June 3rd, at 2 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Cameron Edward “Cam” Cyr

With heavy hearts, the family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Cam at home on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the age of 64.
He was the beloved son of Charlie and Beryl, loving father of Tyler (Trina) and adoring grandfather of Logan and Sienna.
Predeceased by infant brother Laurie, he will forever be lovingly remembered by sisters Kim (Allan) and Leanne (Peter) and brother Jeff.
A wonderful uncle dearly loved by his nieces and nephews, Cam was known for his terrific sense of humor and his kind, compassionate nature.
He will be sadly missed by former wife Kelly (John) and his many friends, including those on his treasured Fighting Irish pool team.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME , 847 King St. West, Oshawa on Monday, May 30, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 847 King Street. Funeral services will be held at All Saints’ Anglican Church, 300 Dundas Street West, Whitby on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
Reception to follow in the church hall.
