With great sadness we announce the passing of Garnet Delbert Wylie on May 28, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 82nd year.
Loving husband of Linda Wylie, and proud father of Kerra Wylie (Michel Horne), Lisa Blake and stepdaughter, Heather Lockhart.
Grandchildren Gabriel Coutu and Russell Horne (Chelsea Gateley) miss him dearly.
Garnet graduated from General Motors Institute (GMI) in Flint, Michigan, with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1964, and embarked upon a 39-year career with GM of Canada’s Car Assembly Plant.
His fellow Phi Kappa Epsilon fraternity brothers have remained lifelong friends.
His engineering background shone through in his DIY attitude, which kept him happily busy around his home and property.
Outside of work, Garnet enjoyed his Friday night poker, downhill skiing with his girls, ice skating on the Whitby Marsh and playing catch in the yard. He and Linda loved to dine out and visit with their friends and family.
Following his retirement in 1998, Garnet was able to more avidly pursue duplicate bridge and golf at the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club.
The family extends our gratitude and appreciation to the numerous caring staff at Faith Place Day Program and Lakeridge Health (Whitby, Oshawa and Ajax).
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday June 8th, 2022, 2-4 pm, at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD, 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558).

Peacefully passed away after a brief battle with cancer in the presence of her husband and son.
Loving wife of Dan McCarroll for 54 years. Devoted mother of Dan Jr (Kelly) and grandmother of Madison and Aidan.
She is predeceased by per parents Earl and Lucille and per sister Patricia.
She will be dearly missed by her siblings Marlene (late Ted), Wayne (Lauraine), Harry (Debbie), Rose (Bob), Michelle (Bruce), Thomas (Sue) and Colleen (Tom) as well as her nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.
Originally from Downeyville, Gail moved to Whitby when she married Dan and there lived life with passion for her family, books, gardening, and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Gail with be missed by all who had the joy of having her in their lives.

Oct. 11,1919 – May 23, 2022
Grahame passed away in his 103rd year at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Grahame was born to Esther and George Clapp in Treharris Wales and moved with his family to Oshawa in 1927.
Grahame was predeceased by his two brothers Leonard (Joyce) and Stewart (Ruth).
Grahame will be greatly missed by his loving six nieces and nephews Lynn (Judy), Jim (Mary), Sandra (Eric), Michael, Debbie and Corrine (Andrew).
Grahame is also fondly remembered by 13 great nieces and nephews and 15 great great nieces and nephews.
Grahame was a WWII Veteran serving his country as an original member of the “First Special Service Force (Devil’s Brigade)”, an elite American-Canadian joint combat group.
In recognition of their superior service during WWII, “The Force” was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 2015 from the USA.
A sincere thank you to Jackie who, along with his family, lovingly cared for him, as well as his dear neighbours and friends, Larry and Rod, who were always available to lend a hand.
A service to celebrate Grahame’s life will take place at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, Whitby, on Saturday, May 28, 2022 with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 2:30 p.m.
Grahame will be deeply missed and always loved…..Rest in Peace in Heaven’s Garden of Heroes.
1942 - 2022 George Kenneth McLeod passed away on May 21, 2022 at the age of 79.
Born in Lakeville, New Brunswick on October 19, 1942 to the late Kenneth and Jean (Owen) McLeod.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Susie Paget (Murray), Elsie Doull, Donald McLeod (Francis), Robert Gordon McLeod and Norman McLeod.
He is survived by his wife Eileen (Chiasson), his daughters Brenda and Sharon and many nieces and nephews.
George was a devoted family man who lived a full life dedicated to family and friends.
He spent over two decades of service in the Canadian Armed Forces before working for IBM in Saskatchewan.
Near his retirement he discovered a passion for golf which he pursued with zeal with many friends.
He knew how to enjoy life and he will be greatly missed.

Beloved husband of Vickie for 50 years.

Cherished grandpa of Payton, Kane and Jack.

Gord began his career at Consumers Gas then switched to salesman for numerous food related businesses.
In his life, Gord was a Big Brother, a Kinsman, an avid golfer and he volunteered at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our precious mother, Grace Edna Rae, on May 13, 2022, after suffering several medical events.
Her daughters had the privilege of ministering to their mother and being involved with her peaceful passing.
She had recently celebrated her 97th birthday at her home in Hillsdale Estates LTC where she was so loved and treated with such great respect.
Grace was a Woman of Faith, of great Generosity, a Prayer Warrior and had a Great Love for her family & friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her five children, David Rae (Ann), Liz Thompson (John), Linda Hayworth (Lindsay), Mary-Anne Schuit (Jerry) and Art Rae (Cindy) PLUS 16 Grandchildren AND 17 Great-Grandchildren.
Grace was predeceased by her loving husband, John, granddaughter, Jennifer, and her brother & sisters.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Gwen who loved to be called “Mom, Grandma and GG” by her kids, departed her loving family on March 24, 2022.
Gwen was born in British Guiana on May 2nd, 1924, to Etta and Arthur Perez.
Gwen was mother to Jennifer and Patricia.
She raised her children with love and devotion in British Guiana and Toronto with her husband James.
As a Receptionist, Gwen was known for being super organized and friendly.
She was a fabulous cook and loved to entertain friends, along with finding time to, crochet, knit, embroider and cross stitch. She was an excellent seamstress and made a lot of her own clothes as well as outfits for the family.
She was most proud of her children and grandchildren and is survived by her Daughters Jennifer and Patricia, Grandchildren Deborah, Darren, Rebecca, Ashley and Victoria, Great Grandchildren Taren, Tyler, Liam, Brynna, Atticus and Luna.
Aside from the children she doted on, Gwen is survived by her sister Hazel and predeceased by her beloved husband James and brothers Barry, David and Clive.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE, 1057 Brock Road in Pickering Ontario on May 14, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
