Hilda, born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, passed away peacefully at Scarborough Centenary Hospital on July 4, 2020 at the age of 83.Predeceased in 2009 by her loving husband of 53 years, Mervyn Ungar.Mother of Brian (Elta) of Ottawa, Ontario, Jack (Caroline) of Toronto, Ontario, Rachelle (Cliff Bootsma) of Calgary, Alberta, and Michael (Paula Mullen) of Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia.Dear Grandmother of Matthew Ungar (Madelynn), Corey Ungar (Brianna) of Toronto, Danielle, Cameron and Janna Bootsma of Calgary and Scott and Meagan Campbell of Halifax.Hilda enjoyed volunteering.She was an excellent cook, phenomenal knitter, a gifted crocheter, and had a talent for sewing.A private family graveside service to be held on July 7, 2020, in Ajax, Ontario.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association in Hilda’s memory. And, as Hilda would always say at the end of a conversation, “and that’s about it”.

March 8, 1928 – June 22, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of Hilda Jane Ford (Cowling) announce her passing on Monday, June 22, 2020 at the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital in her 93rd year.Hilda was the cherished mother of Terry Brock, Patti (Ken) Barrie and Grant (Ellen Cowan) Brock.Hilda is predeceased by her husband Elton Brock and her son Doug Brock. Loving grandma to Dallas (Adam VanDam), Lindsey, Cody, Nicola, Alison, Adrienne (Cory Burns), Shelby (Zack Mooy), and Megan (Aaron Vanderheyden).Beloved “GG” to Brody, Lola, Eli, Poppy, and Addy. Hilda was a cherished and loved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Hilda will be deeply missed by all of her extended family and friends.Due to the restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held Friday, June 26, 2020. Hilda will then be laid to rest at the Bowmanville Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations to Trinity United Church in Bowmanville, Ontario or a CHARITY of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

December 1, 1955 - June 8, 2020 It is with very great sorrow and heavy hearts for the blended family of Ron Mimms to announce his sudden passing at home on June 8, 2020, in his 64th year.Ron was the beloved common law husband of Vicki (Victoria Bellissimo) Holland, loving and cherished father to his two daughters Amanda (nee Mimms) Lefebvre, son in law Darcy Lefebvre, grandson Jude Jack, Amy Mimms and his 'Bean' granddaughter Layla May.He will be remembered as a kind and generous stepfather to Carl William Holland, Luc Salvatore Holland and stepdaughter Faye Houston.He will be sadly missed by; his sisters and brother in laws Marcia (nee Mimms) and Patrick Taylor, Susan (nee Mimms) and Brian Aitken, brother Gregory and cousins, nieces and nephews, and his parents Jean (nee Bogie) and Fraser Marshall Mimms who have predeceased him.Fond memories of raising their daughters Mandi and Amy, will be held with Ron’s first wife Angela Mills.A private viewing will take place. A remembrance ceremony to honour Ron’s life will be planned at a later date once COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted as well as, a motorcycle ride to honour Ron’s longtime passion, will be set at a later date.In lieu of flowers, a donation to a local animal shelter or charity of choice is always appreciated.Vicki, his daughters and stepchildren would like to thank all family and friends for their tremendous outpouring of support at this very difficult time.

Survived by his sisters Rosemary Duffell, Eleanore (Joseph Worona) and his sisters-in-law Anne Lack and Mary Pilkey. Predeceased by parents Robert Lack and Josie (Bell) of Oshawa and his 5 brothers Richard, Bernard, John, James and Joseph. Harry will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends. God called Helen peacefully on June 7, 2020, at the age of 81.Beloved wife of Thomas Richard Pugliese (predeceased), and daughter of Frank and Katherine Carroll (predeceased), sister of Jimmy Carroll (predeceased).Helen is survived by her children, Caroline Pugliese (Paul Socholotiuk), Thomas Pugliese (Marisa Naccarato-Pugliese), and Mary Ellen Pugliese (Richard Raposo).She will be missed by her grandchildren, Julia, Erin, Nicholas, Elisa, Tomas, Regan, and Ryleigh.Helen grew up in Ottawa and was a teacher and social worker for many years. She retired in Ajax, Ontario, concluding a career in community justice initiatives.Helen, filled with faith, had a witty sense of humour and she loved history, art, and music. Helen enjoyed travelling, dinner with friends, and gardening. A private funeral mass will be held for immediate family. The family hopes to have a celebration of life for Helen in the future with family and friends.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
