GOLBOURNE, Daphne Sylvia Golbourne

GOLBOURNE, Daphne Sylvia Golbourne

Listed in

October 17, 1930 - March 28, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our One in a Million, Daphne Sylvia Golbourne who, with family by her side, transitioned from this life at 4:30PM on Monday March 28, 2022 at the Seven Oaks Long-Term Care Home in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada.

Affectionately known as Daph, Mrs. Daph or Aunt Daph, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, church sister and dear friend to many.

She is survived by her devoted sons Radcliffe (Nydia) and Wycliffe, as well as her grandchildren: Edana and Aaron Joseph.

Also left to mourn her loss is Daphne’s only remaining sibling Hope (George), along with countless nieces and nephews here in the Greater Toronto Area, Manitoba, New York, Florida, Cayman Islands, UK and of course Jamaica (West Indies), her place of birth.

A strong, independent woman, Daphne spent her career working in the service industry as well as being the owner of two different businesses - one in Jamaica and one in Canada. She was an avid gardener and a talented and creative seamstress.

In fact, she was a jack of all trades as she was able to observe, assess and fix most things in her environment. For this, she often credited her father who was a carpenter. Throughout her life and career God was always at the centre of it all. Now she’s with her Heavenly Father.

Daphne is predeceased by her late husband Neville Golbourne. Siblings, sisters: Roslyn, Mavis, Dorice. Brothers: Hugh, Ivan, George, Llewelyn Sr. “Jackie” and finally Joseph “Bill” who passed away one day prior to the passing of Mrs. Daph.

Our family’s irreplaceable treasure will never be forgotten and will live within our hearts forever. Heaven has received an angel!

Offering and donations will be collected and gifted in Daphne Golbourne’s name to support Health Care and Long-Term Care Facilities which have been instrumental in her care during the final phases of her glorious life.

IMPORTANT:

**The Link for Daphne will be active half-hour prior to the scheduled Stream time of 11AM on Sat Apr 9th. **Please do not go on before that time.
