Passed away peacefully comforted by the love of his family on Saturday, February 26, 2022.
Beloved husband of the late Lois.
Loving father of Dave (Stephanie), Sharon (late Herman), Scott (Tammy) and the late Bob.
Cherished grandfather of Beverly (Cory), Jeffrey (Cindy), Blair (Sam), Karlie, Sarah, Dan (Carlie), Lindsay (Ryan), Mike and Laura; great grandfather of 12 and great great grandfather of 2.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the De Stefano Funeral Home, Oshawa, on Tuesday, March 1st from 5:00-8:00pm and on Wednesday, March 2nd from 10:00-11:00am. A Service to Celebrate Jim’s life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 2nd at 11:00am. Jim will be laid to rest with his beloved Lois.

Christopher “Chris” Compton

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Saturday, February 19, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.
Loving husband to Lisa for 19 years. Devoted father to Melody (AJ), Nicole (Lucas) and Carter.
Chris is survived by his parents Jim and Sue Compton and his sister Linda.
He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and Visitation will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. As space within the facility is limited, please contact the funeral home for registration.
Carol Florence Van Kessel

On Friday, February 18, 2022, Carol Florence (Bell) Van Kessel passed away in her 82nd year, after a courageous battle with IPF.
Predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, Martin, in 2012.
Loving mother of Melissa Poremba (Richard d. 2012), Martin Jr. (Suzette), and Gordon (Helen).
Proud and devoted grandmother of Alyna (Dayle Kulakiewicz), Nancy, and Joseph Poremba (Paige Zimmel); Katrina and Laryssa Van Kessel (Nathan Dampier and son Trey); Sarah (Daniel Heatherington), Taylor, Rachel, and Amelia Van Kessel.
Dear sister of Shirley Ewing; sister-in-law of Judy Bell, Marlene Bell, Toni and John Byvelds, Theresa Van Kessel, Anton Van Kessel, Pauline Van Kessel, Pieta Prokott, and Corrie McRae.
Predeceased by brothers Ivan Bell and Harold Bell; sisters-in-law Dorothy Bell, Grace Centen, Anna Jacobs, and Cisca Van Kessel; brothers-in-law Norm Ewing, Arnold Centen, Harry Jacobs, Bert Van Kessel, Peter Van Kessel, Michael Prokott, and Dewey McRae.
Carol was an expert knitter, quilter, and gardener who generously shared her skills with family, friends, and strangers alike.
Many are fortunate to have the forever gift of one of her gorgeous creations.
She was also known for her compassion, powerful hugs, beautiful penmanship, lovely singing voice, and the fact that she was not ticklish at all, ever!
Instead of gifting flowers, the family requests that those who wish to honour her memory make a memorial donation in her name to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre in Cobourg, Ontario, so that others may experience the exemplary end-of-life care offered to Carol in her final days.
Additional thanks to PSW, Phyllis, and nurse, Corrine, who helped to ensure Carol’s comfort at home as long as possible.
Visitation will take place at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL , 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby, on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 3 - 7pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby, on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 10:30am. Interment at Uxbridge Cemetery.

1934 - 2022 Passed away peacefully on February 19, 2022, in Toronto, ON at the age of 87.
She was born to Sabas Del Rosario and Marciana Trajeco on March 17, 1934.
Survived by her beloved husband Edgardo of 63 years, loving mother of Boddie, Cherry, Ruth, Gigi, Mineth, John and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her family and friends.

Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home, at the age of 80.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Bob.

Cherished grandmother of Jocelyn and Brandon Lang and Devon O’Dette (Cheyenne) and great-grandmother of Holden and Parker.
Dear sister of Joan Hooper (Ron) and Bill Scollard (Kate).
Predeceased by her siblings Larry Scollard, Michael Scollard, Elaine Scollard, and Jane Henderson.
Special friend of Vi Carr.
Cathy was a long-time dedicated volunteer in her community.
She was also a dedicated member of AA.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa).
A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m.

After a lengthy illness, Carroll is now at rest.
She passed peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on February 8th, 2022 at the age of 77 years.
Beloved wife of the late Alan Farrow.
Loving mother of Kevin (Lisa).
Adoring grandma of Paislie and Keegan (Haley) and GG of Karson and Kolton.
Dear sister of Nancy (Art) Jackson) and Wayne McRoberts (Brenda).
She was predeceased by her parents Howard & Reta McRoberts.
She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Mrs. Farrow will be remembered as a favourite elementary school teacher to countless students over her career.
She was a long time member of St. Paul’s United Church as well as the Orange Lodge. Her quick smile and gentle nature will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville on Friday February 18th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at ST. PAUL’S UNITED CHURCH, 178 Church Street, Bowmanville on Saturday February 19th at 11 am. Attendance will be limited, if you wish to attend either visitation or the service please contact the funeral home to reserve a space between the hours of 9 – 4. Double vaccination is required to attend the funeral only.

Passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 65.
Cherished sister to Don (Wendy), Michael (Donna) and Bill.
Beloved aunt of Steve (Tracy), Phil (Kim), Shannon (Andy), Jaclyn (Sid), Dan (Maya) and the late Jeff.
Devoted great-aunt to Leah, Hailey and Quinn. Colleen will be dearly missed by her family, her many friends and her beloved cats Abbey and Hannah.
Colleen enjoyed dedicating time to her church family as well as many missionary trips.
A special thank you to the R.S. McLaughlin Cancer Centre, as well as the many doctors and nurses for their outstanding care. Colleen is now rejoicing with the Lord in Heaven.

Age 62, passed away peacefully in his home February 4th, 2022 with his family at his side.
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and everyone’s friend.
He was a kind soul that brought such comfort to everyone he knew.
His love was unwavering.
Our hearts are broken, we will all miss our beloved fisherman and his heart of gold.
Chris leaves behind his mother, Marlene Clarke; his father, Roy Jones (Janice); his wife, Dawn; his sons Brent and Warren(Rory); his grandson, Mylo; his brothers, Warren (Annette) and Tim (Cindy); as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
This Bursary contributes in meaningful ways to providing possibilities for valued social participation and contribution in community for individuals with a disability.

Catherine E. “Cathie” Orser

Proud grandma of Krista (Aran), Derek, Craig (Paula), Cheryl, Leigh-Anne (Dale) and Lindsay (Mark). Great grandmother of 13.
Predeceased by her siblings Merle, Billie, Helen, Maxine, Dorothy and Doug.
She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.
Cathie served in the WRNS in WWII, she was always very active in her community and her church. Her singing and storytelling were enjoyed by all.
A family service has taken place.

Charles (Chuck) Roche

Passed away at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday February 2, 2022 in his 88th year.
Chuck was born in Prince Edward Island on August 25, 1934, the 3rd youngest of 13 children.
Besides 3 sisters and 1 brother, Chuck is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Lorraine and 4 cherished children, Kevin (Patti), Bob (Joanne), Marie (Bill) and Nancy (Grant).
Chuck also leaves behind 10 much loved grandchildren and 10 precious great grandchildren.
The bulk of Chuck's career was teaching high school in Stouffville.
Chuck also contributed considerably to the Durham Region R.C Separate School Board as a trustee for 14 years, besides being a willing handyman for family and friends, Chuck worked tirelessly to protect the lives of the pre-born from the deadly hands of abortionists as well as a sponsor for many children through World Vision over some 30 years.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME with Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St Mary of the People Catholic Church on Tuesday February 8th, 2022 at 10:30 am.
