Fannie Estabrooks
Born in Sackville, New Brunswick, on Friday, April 22nd, 1927, Fannie Mae Estabrooks (nee Towse) passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 30th, 2017, at Hillsdale Terraces in Oshawa under the loving care of the dedicated health care providers.In her 91st year, she was the supportive wife of the late Irvine Archibald Estabrooks.Beloved mother of Warren Estabrooks (Pierre-Roch Cote) of Toronto, and James Estabrooks (Cynthia Estabrooks) of Bethlehem, PA.She was the devoted grandmother of David Estabrooks of Temple Terrace, Fl., and Michael Estabrooks (Sarah Thomson) of Lansdale, PA, and loving aunt, great aunt, and great - great aunt to her extended family of nephews and nieces whom she adored.She was the daughter of the late Vita and Wylder Towse of Sackville and sister of Alice Steeves of Halifax, NS, and the late Jean Ward of Amherst, NS.Fannie Mae was caring, giving and unassuming, and she worked endlessly and quietly to support her family, many charities and many causes including the Women’s Auxiliary of Local 222, and Harmony Road Baptist Church. She was an advocate of the freedoms and rights of the LGBT community.The family would like to thank the staff at Hillsdale Terraces for the care and love they extended to her each and every day over the last two years and in particular during her final journey.A celebration of life will be held in the spring at the Local 222 Union Hall.Donations in her memory may be made to Harmony Road Baptist Church, Oshawa, Ontario, or to a CHARITY of choice.Fannie Mae’s ashes will be laid to rest beside her parents, sister and husband in Sackville, New Brunswick.

Peacefully on Wednesday December 27, 2017 surrounded by his family at his home in Oshawa at the age of 56.Frank, beloved husband of Sharon Sanders.Much loved father of Stephanie Sanders and is predeceased by his son Thomas and his daughter Tiffany. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Frank Anderson on Monday December 25, 2017 at the young age of 79. He will be dearly missed by his sons Jim (Sandie), Bill (Lisa), Bob (Laurie).He is survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, his brother Tom and his sisters Marion and Pat. Predeceased by his first wife Marie and second wife Barabara. Frank will be missed by his furry animals as he retired as the original owner of Andy’s Towing in 2002 and spent his last days farming in Omemee. Frank was also an active member and former President of the Omemee Lions Club.Funeral service to be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 1pm with visitation beginning at 11am. It is with deep sadness that the family of Florence de Boer announces her passing on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 87.Florrie was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Ben de Boer, in 2009.She will be lovingly remembered by her four children Adrian (Silvana), Paul (Karin), Joan Norton (Dan) and Janet Worsley (Harry).Oma will forever be in the hearts of her twelve beloved grandchildren Steven, Lizz (Sean), Brien (Natalia), Ben (Brooke), John, Jennie, Nicole, Richard, A.J. February 27, 1936 – December 6, 2017Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.Fabian is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary (Nee McGuigan); sons Ron (Pam), David (Christine), James Roy and Derek; grandchildren Ashley, Noah, Patrick, Joeb, Madeleine, and Alice and great-grandchildren Jakob, Evalynne and Ivy.Brother to Pauline and her husband James ‘Jim’ McCarthy and William ‘Bill’ and his wife Anita Daley; predeceased by Reggie, Gertie and Louis.Born in Montague P.E.I., he came to Ontario in 1955.Worked 38 years at General Motors.Fabian was a Jack of all trades and could fix anything. On Friday, November 17, 2017 at 4:17am, Frank Gibeault bid this world farewell.He would have been 91 this January 31, 2018.He certainly lived his life to the fullest and the way he saw fit. She was 73.Beloved wife of James Stuart – they shared 52 years of marriage.Diane’s life was devoted to her family and grandchildren.Loving mother of Graham Stuart and wife Cindy, Elaine Stuart, Gordon Stuart and partner Trina and Moira Mullin and her husband Patrick.Dear grandmother to Alexander Salitter and Aidan Mullin.Also survived by her brothers Arthur Carr (Liz) and Fred Carr (Fe) and sisters Darlene Carr-Swyers (Steve) and Corinne Carr and numerous nieces and nephews.
