December 1955 - June 2021
Chinni left us suddenly on June 9th, 2021.
Chinni or Elizabeth Ann (too royal a name for her) always preferred the nickname she got from her uncle.
Her mum passed away when she was two years old, so her uncle and aunt gave her a home in Mahim, Bombay - which included a twice-a-year holiday package to Anjuna, Goa.
It made her believe that every nice place looked "just like Goa".
She always hoped that it would be without suffering the way her beloved godmother Flora passed.
Chinni loved her cousins who supported and provided a home for her. She loved Rajiv and Binoy like most mothers do. She loved her husband, Calisto, like most wives do. And they could not help but love her in return.
While Chinni's physical heart gave way, her spiritual heart is alive and scattered among her friends and family - much as she wanted her ashes scattered among her favourite spots. Chinni loved life.
She will be missed but we believe she has travelled to a new nice place even better than Goa. Arrangements with Accettone Funeral Home.
She leaves behind her brother Colin (Charmaine) Rodrigues and niece Rachel (Craig) McGown and nieces Amanda and Della Rodrigues in Melbourne, sister Christine (Rudi) Rodrigues and niece Deanne in Mississauga.
Predeaced By her brothers, Ronnie Rodrigues, Alvin (Dawn) Rodrigues and Fr. Steve Rodrigues.
Elizabeth Rose Miller (Betty) passed away peacefully at Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital on Sunday June 6th, 2021 at the age of 75.
Beloved wife of Donald Challice for 27 years. Loving mother of Krista and Sandra Miller ( Marc Groleau) and step mother to Kerry Lynn Challice ( Dennis Gray).
Cherished Grandma to Elizabeth Groleau (Beth), Alyssa Challice and Sarah Morgan. Loving sister to Robert Chopee ( Tina Chopee) and Ken Chopee.
Betty will also be fondly remembered and missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Betty had a passion for animals, cooking, playing scrabble and spending time with her close friends and family.
Betty was kind, generous, thoughtful, and had a wicked sense of humour!
She knew how to have fun and loved to make people laugh!
A Celebration Of Life will be held in the near future.
In memory of Betty, donations may be made to the Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre in Oshawa.
