It is with broken hearts we announce that on Tuesday December 7, 2021 Colin Blair Mitchell left our world behind. He was a beautiful person with a huge heart, who believed in love above all else.

Those who met him, even in the briefest of moments, would feel that love and send it back his way, as was seen around him consistently in his final days, through pure kindness, support and passion from all.

While it may feel like a bright light has been lost in our lives, we can find comfort in looking to those who carry forward his memories and deepest values: his mother Mary and father Geoff, his brother Brad and sister-in-law Lin, along with his niece Lillian.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son Robert, daughter Ruth and their mother Rebecca. Daughters Blair, Dottie, and their mother Jessica. Uncle Terry, Aunt MaryAnn, cousins Jim and Shawna, Aunt Deirdre and Uncle Patric.

Colin will always be in the hearts of his extended family, friends, and those that had the pleasure of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, Oshawa, on Wednesday December 15th from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Tributes will take place at 3:00pm. Please note that COVID restrictions will be in place and Masks are mandatory while in the Funeral Home. The family will be attending a private service on Wednesday morning.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, it was Colin's wish that any memorial donations be made in the form of contributions to his four beautiful children.

An account has been set up for Robert, Ruth, Blair and Dottie, and the family respectfully requests that donations be made via cheque to his brother Bradley Mitchell. Anyone who wishes to E-transfer may do so by sending an EMT to ColinLoveFund@gmail.com .
