Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (nee Butler).

Survived by his loving children Rick, Sootara Pituk (Ridgeman Bernard) and Jim (Susan Graham).

Proud grandfather of Tyler, Jordan (Lana) and Danny (Danielle) and great grandchildren Sasha and Molly.

George was predeceased by his parents Laszlo and Julianna Pituk and siblings Joseph Pettick and Mary Pawson.

A reception will be held at 143 Old Colony Drive, Whitby, Ontario on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. Please drop in for a visit with the family to share memories of George.

With the deepest of sorrow, the family of Gail Tucker announces her passing on Friday November 12th, 2021 at the age of 72, at Lakeridge Health Hospital, Oshawa.

Loving daughter to her predeceased parents William and Gloria (nee O'Connor).

Proud mother to her daughter Kandace, whom she always adored.

Eldest sister to Sharon Redshaw, Thomas, Linda Hamlin and the late Anne Marie Cowle.

Gail will be dearly missed by her extended family and will be forever in the hearts of her friends.

A memorial will be held for Gail in the spring as well as a ceremonial tree planting.

Gordon “Gord” will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his two children, James and Stephanie (Ian); daughter-in-law; Angeles; three grandchildren, Willy, Andie-Lee, and Allie-Ann; best friend/ex-wife (Gladys); father; Gordon Sr.; siblings Bonita, Carl (Nicola), Cindy (Archie), and Rachel; nieces and nephews, Justin, Haley, Melody, Jesse, Holly, Brooke, and Daniel; and numerous other extended family members and friends.

Gord was predeceased by his mother, Catherine (née Rorison); sisters, Catherine Carol and Karen, and step-father Jack.

Gerhard (Gerry) Westra

Passed away at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton on Tuesday November 9, 2021 at 96 years of age.

He is survived by his daughter Karen Lee of Sunderland, his grandchildren Kevin, Jeffrey, Rebecca and Jonathan, his sister Baukje Pearson, his sisters-in-law Joyce and Helene, and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife Kathleen Irene (Jones) of 48 years, his son Ron, his son-in-law James L.C. Lee, his sister Therese, and his six brothers Hendrik, Johannes, Eduard, Wobbe, Karel and Bauke.

Gerry was born in Oudwoude, the Netherlands to Jan and Louise Westra. During WWII he worked as a dairy hand in Rhineland, Germany, not far from his maternal grandmother.

He witnessed the Allied Forces' planes flying overhead en route to the 'Thousand Bomber Raid' on Cologne.

In Sept. 1944 he was conscripted -along with neighbouring German farmers- to dig trenches at Afferden, south of Arnhem.

He was gravely wounded on Sept. 25, 1944 by shrapnel from a fallen anti-aircraft shell.

He recovered in hospital, lastly in Wernigerode, until April 9, 1945, returning home on foot roughly a week later. He emigrated to Canada in 1952, working as a dairy hand in the Niagara Falls area.

He moved on to Toronto to work at Walmer Dairy and then Loblaws' Meat Packing dept., near the CNE grounds. Following his marriage to Kathleen in 1958, they moved to Oshawa, where Gerry worked for General Motors.

Gerry worked at GM for 31 years, retiring from the Fabrication Dept. (Plastics) as a 'set-up man' in 1987.

They moved to Campbellford, spending their winters in Florida. In 2003 they moved to Oakwood.

His beloved wife Kathleen passed in 2007, predeceasing Gerry by 14 years. He spent the final 3 years of his life under the excellent care of the Lakeview Manor staff, whom the family wish to thank.

A private memorial is planned.

She was surrounded by the love of her family, when she passed on November 9, 2021 at 4:34am at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Canada.

Beloved wife of the late Cecil (1971).

Loving mother of Victoria Lynn (Mark) Stover, Kevin Andrew, and the late Terrence Robert.

Cherished “GG” of Crystal (Brian) Kedzior, Ashley (Warren) Copeland, Brittney Phillips, Catherine (Jimmy) Jones, and Ryan (Natalia) Stover, and proud “GGG” of Ashton, Caileigh, Jackson, Ethan and Chanel.

Sister to Norman, Linda, David, Don, Ross and the late Dianne. Gail loved spending time with family and friends, listening to Elvis, and the beautiful smell of red roses.

She spent many years travelling, exploring, and boating in Northern Ontario with her then partner, Arnold. In retirement, she couldn’t wait to become a snowbird and loved her winter life in Florida.

Gail will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and the numerous friends at Swiss & Hidden Golf and Tennis Club in Winter Haven, Florida.

Lastly, she will be forever missed, by her sweet dog Maggie.

Survived by her brother Herbie Forfar (Ruth) and predeceased by her siblings Roy Forfar (Blanche), Shirley Gardner (Jack), Ross Forfar (Nancy) and Billie Forfar (Darlene).

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Bloomington Cove Care Community for their loving and compassionate care over Gladys’ many years in their care.

The family of Gladys Knee will receive friends at the Wagg Funeral Home, Port Perry, on Monday, November 15th from 10 – 11 a.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the chapel at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Scarborough, ON. In accordance with directives provided by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is mandatory as well as practicing social distancing and attendance within the building will be monitored.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Davison.

After a long and well fought battle with cancer, Bill left this world on November 10, 2021.

Bill was born on June 26, 1936, in Toronto and spent his youth in Highland Creek.

He spent most of his adult life in the Markham area, then his final dozen years in the community of Uxbridge.

Bill leaves behind his wife Margaret who will cherish their many memories of travel adventures throughout the world. Bill will be sorely missed by his children and stepchildren: Will (Ann), Jane (Alex), John, Steve (Patricia), and Andrea (Mike).

Bill was predeceased by his loving daughter Anne (Dave). Bill will be missed by his 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and especially missed by the youngest of those grandchildren, Hannah, Brayden, Olivia, Emma, and Henry.

Bill was outgoing, generous, and kind, and he would entertain us with his many life stories.

Bill will be missed by his many lifelong friends, by his surviving siblings Gord (Lynda), Bob, and Peggy, and by his many friends and acquaintances in Uxbridge.

Bill's long journey is finally over. He will now be reunited with the many family members and friends that went before him. May he rest in peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
