APRIL 28, 1933 – JUNE 21, 2024
We are saddened to share the news of the passing of our much loved mom and Oma, Anna Louise Weber at Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood, Ontario in the early morning hours of June 21st, 2024.
Anna was born in Pannaugen (formerly East Prussia), April 28, 1933 and immigrated to Canada in 1957 where she made a life in Oshawa with husband, Eugen who predeceased her in 2002.
Best mom ever to Annette (affectionately known as Pusti) and #1 son-in-law, Glenn; beloved Oma to the sunshine of her life, Zoe and favourite person of our cat, Harley (sorry, Zoe!). Survived by son, Eugen (Donna) of Oshawa and family in Germany (Dietmar, Karin, Manfred, Annemarie and children).
Loved by her extended Cunningham family who welcomed her into the fold as one of their own from the moment Glenn came on the scene.
Mom was an integral part of our family having lived with us in Whitby for 13 years prior to making the move to Collingwood in 2019. Known to all as Oma, you couldn’t help but smile when she crossed your path walking the neighbourhood daily (save for icy and rainy days).
She loved the life, adventures and vacations we shared, as did we. Mom, hope your final journey includes a BBQ’ed burger, a Pink Whitney martini and a smooth ride in the red Porsche with your dearest sister, Greta by your side.
Special thanks to some of the wonderful doctors and nurses at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital who cared for mom including Dr. Peter Holloway, Dr. David Beisel, Dr. Jack Ceaser and the many nurses and PSW’s (among them: Breanne, Cynthia, Emma, Jenna, Katie, Chris).
If you’d like to honour mom’s memory, we ask that you please consider making a donation to Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood. https://hospicegeorgiantriangle.com/#/
