(November 13, 1930 - May 16, 2016) -Passed away after a brief illness on Monday, May 16th, 2016 at the age of 85.Predeceased by his wife of 60 ½ years, Donna (2015). Loving father of Barry (Liz) and Bob (Rebecca). Adored Poppy and Grampa of Paige, Emma and Matthew and Great Grampa of Levy. Fred will be fondly remembered by Jessa (Stavros) and their children William and Katerina.Fred was a loving brother of Doris Bacon (late Earl), Ray (Lena), Harvey (Ruby) and Margaret Desousa (late Joe). He will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews and extended family, especially by longtime friends the Sykes family. Those who knew Fred will remember him for his willingness to help anyone repair anything especially if it had an engine. His ability to voice his opinion will remain in the hearts and memories of those he leaves behind. He drove transport trucks from the age of 18 well into his 70’s with an impeccable driving record, most of it spent at Russell Transport and McCallum Transport.
