It is with immeasurable grief that we share the news of Mitch’s passing on March 21, 2023 from a workplace accident.

Mitch was born and raised in Uxbridge Ontario and loved his hometown.

He was happiest being outdoors enjoying winters on his snowmobile and summers at the cottage and on the water boating and jet skiing.

He always announced his arrival anywhere he went loudly and with a funny one liner. His smile and laugh were contagious.

So many people have said to us that he was the most straight up, hardworking good guy that they knew. With Mitch you always knew what he was thinking because he told you without hesitation and often unsolicited.

Mitch loved anything with an engine and had an innate ability to know how to fix them. He was a proud truck guy and spent hours planning and envisioning building his dream truck.

In the short time that he was with us he impacted so many and left a large boot print on our world. He was kind, he was smart, he was funny. He was simply the best of us.

Mitch is survived by his parents Mike and Deanna Watson, big sister Brooke Watson, girlfriend Lauren Adamson, Grandparents Harry (age 94) and Betty (the late) Watson, and Grandparents Diane and Kevin (the late) Duffy, Uncles, Aunts, cousins and many friends.

Visitation will take place at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m.

If I had a flower for every time you made me smile or laugh, I’d have a garden to walk in forever.

After a long, happy and loving life, our mother, Margaret Irene Hunter passed away at the Traditions of Durham senior’s residence on March 16, 2023.

Margaret is survived by her four children: Catherine (Terence), Karen (Lisa), John (Heather) and Brian (Joanne), seven of her eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Wilbert and Minnie Stewart welcomed their first child Margaret Irene on May 5th, 1927 in Orillia, Ontario.

Margaret had four brothers whom she loved dearly as well as their families. She was extremely proud of her Stewart heritage.

Margaret met the love of her life, Jack Hunter and after they were married in 1950, they purchased their first home in Toronto where they raised their four children. When Jack’s company, ITT Cannon Electric moved their head office to Whitby in the early 1970s, Marg and Jack sold their Toronto home and moved too. Jack passed away in April, 1999 and Margaret continued living in the family home for another 24 years. In August of 2021, Margaret moved to Traditions of Durham, a senior’s residence where she lived for the rest of her life.

Margaret lived a simple but meaningful life and was cherished by all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, sense of humor and unwavering love for her family and friends as well as her garden and of course, her poodles. She also made the best fudge!

Her family will miss her but feel extremely fortunate to have had such kind, gentle and loving parents. She will always be in our hearts.

A private funeral is planned and Mom will be buried with Dad at GROVESIDE CEMETERY in Whitby.
