Passed away peacefully at her home on February 20th 2023 at the age of 82, in Oshawa Ontario surrounded by her loved ones, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Born to Arthur O'Regan and Margaret (Neary) O'Regan on October 27th 1940 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia and grew up surrounded by her large family.
A hundred hearts would be too few to carry for the love she had for her beloved husband Glen Gardner, they were together for --years.
Doreen had tremendous strength, courage, love, an incredible sense of humour and a deep love for her family. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, swimming, traveling, soaking up some sun, and family gatherings.

She fought bravely against dementia with her loving family by her side.

Also great-grandmother of Alicja and Antek. Maria was born and raised in the rural town of Kasinka Mała, Poland.
Dear sister of Janina and predeceased by Władysław, Helena, Aleksandra, Julian and Jan. Her strong “Góral” spirit allowed her to remain resilient through World War II, the early loss of her husband, and even childbirth in a wagon.
Maria’s Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life.
She arrived in Canada in 1988, and her voice could be heard every Saturday at St. Hedwig’s Church, a community she loved.
She took comfort in praying the rosary daily. Her unique sayings brought laughter to her home. Her wisdom provided support and guidance, summed up by a favourite saying: “Prayer and labour, makes us prosper.” Her strength, love, and humour will be remembered always.

Late on the evening of February 19, 2023.
Marguerite “June” Eikhard passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 91st year.
June moved to Oshawa from the Maritimes in the 60’s with her husband Cecil, who was working as a TV repairman and her 2 children Brent and Shirley.
The whole family was musical. June was a tremendously talented fiddle player, but was able to play all the stringed instruments, as well as the piano and drums.
She played as a band member on the fiddle with many excursions to the U.S.A. where she was always greatly appreciated.
She will be remembered for her great sense of humour, her unforgettable laugh and her musical expertise.
She was a friend to everyone, and helped anyone in need. Yes, the First Lady of the Fiddle and Country Music has gone from us, but she will never be forgotten.
June was predeceased by her husband Cecil, son Brent, later partner Roy Witty, grandson Jamie VandenBogaard, and daughter Shirley. She will be so missed by her many friends, and daughter in law Patti Thompson.
A Celebration of Life at the Legion Branch #43, and an interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date.
