Carl Luke, beloved husband of the late Marian (nee Kight) for 67 years.

Loving father of Louise Smith, and Sandra Laronde (Mark).

Loved grandfather of Jamie Trick (Michelle), Jessica Luke-Smith (Calvin), and great grandfather of Gavin (12), Calvin Jr. (3) and Camairo (10 months).

Dear brother of Ivan Luke (Maralyn), and brother-in-law of Art Kight.

Carl devoted many years to the Port Perry Minor Hockey and Softball Associations as well as the Port Perry Mojacks. He always enjoyed a good game of cards.

Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 a private service with family and friends will be held in Port Perry. Interment Prince Albert Pine Grove Cemetery.

If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Port Perry Mojacks.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Christine Mary Ambrose on January 16, 2021 at the Ajax Pickering Hospital.

She was loved dearly by family and friends.

Christine is survived by her loving husband John Ambrose, cherished daughter Janet, son-in-law David, and granddaughter Amy; and predeceased by her precious daughter Karen.

Christine will be remembered for her bubbly and kind personality but mostly for her love towards her husband, family and friends. She loved her job at Ajax hospital.

She was devoted to her Catholic faith so we know she will be dancing in heaven.

The family want to thank the staff at Ajax hospital for their kindness and empathy during this difficult time. We also want to thank the many that have reached out to offer their prayers and kindness at this very difficult time.

Due to Covid-19 a limited funeral service with close family only will be held on January 22nd at 11:00 am in Ajax.

She will be laid to rest beside her precious daughter Karen in Ajax, Ontario. She will be missed dearly.

Donations in lieu of flowers, is preferred. Kindly donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Clarence was born to George and Jeanette Rodgers, the middle child of seven offspring.

He grew up in Karachi, Pakistan surrounded by family and friends in the locality of Saddar.

Clarence, or as he was more often called, Clarrie, married his beloved Cheryl on January 6, 1969 in St. Patrick’s Cathedral and they settled into their first apartment in FCCHS where, except for a brief period in 1971, they lived until they immigrated to Canada in 2000.

In the “Misquita Blocks” Clarrie was actively involved in the community – a legacy he will always be remembered for by appreciative neighbours.

Clarrie and Cheryl were blessed with five children, and later with seven granddaughters: Calvin and Denise Rodgers/ Kimberly and Leanne; Clive and Celine Rodgers/ Jordan; Carlette and Colin D'Souza/ Chenelle and Cheyanne; Crystal and Kevin Fernandes; and Corinna and Gary Gillis/ Erin and Riley.

Clarence was predeceased by his parents George and Jeanette, as well as his siblings Joyce (Joaquim), Doreen, John, Valerie, Norma and Neville.

Throughout the years, Clarence continuously shared his love and wisdom with his wife, children, grandchildren, and several others. He will be dearly remembered by all his extended family, including his cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and godchildren, as well his numerous friends in Pakistan, Canada, USA, Australia and around the globe.

Visitation and Catholic Funeral Liturgy are private by invitation only through the family.

Charlie is survived by his bride of 70 years, Helen Mckay. Charlie was father to four; Yvonne, Brian, Lorraine and Deborah, and grandfather to five; Sarah, Ian, Bryden, Cody and John.Charlie was born on the Potterrow in Edinburgh, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He worked at IBM for 30 years, took an active part in the Canadian Scottish Club, Whitby Lawn Bowling and the Canadian Legion.He was a proud Canadian who loved, though lamented, his favourite hockey team the Toronto Maple Leafs. But most of all he loved and dedicated his life to his wife and to the home they both created for our family. We will miss you Dad and wherever you are we hope you are having a glass of Navy rum, some mince n’ tatties, and big bar of chocolate with your beloved son Brian.

Brad was born on August 9, 1951 in Midland, Ontario to Joyce Thomson and Len Donner.He spent his career as a Toronto Firefighter (previously North York) until his retirement in 2002.Brad married Darlene Burns (Debbie) on September 22, 1973, and raised two children, Shawna and Brett. Brad had a passion for music.He enjoyed his time as a DJ for CHOO radio in his earlier years and continued his love of playing the guitar/banjo by performing regularly throughout his life.He was a man who had many hobbies and was always ready to try something new.From obtaining his pilot’s license, to fishing and hunting, to working on his model railroad, Brad was always puttering with something.After his retirement from the Toronto Fire Department, Brad and Debbie purchased a cottage where they spent their summers.This was Brad’s favorite place, where he could relax and spend time with his grandkids and tractor. Brad was preceded in death by his father, Len, and his mother, Joyce. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie, his two amazing children, Shawna Gavas (Brian) and Brett, his grandchildren, Simon, Gavin, Shiloh, Levi and Grayson and brother Bart (Nora) Arlow, of Hamburg, New York. Although we will miss Brad’s presence deeply, we feel blessed to have had this amazingly talented and loving man brighten and enlighten us throughout our lives. As per Brad’s wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes will be spread at a later date.Due to COVID precautions, no formal funeral services are planned.Arrangements have been entrusted to the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME .
