It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend on Tuesday November 8, 2022 only one day following her 88th birthday.
Arlene was born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario.
She spent the major portion of her life quietly supporting her family: Wendell (husband) of 65 years, children Julie Gillis (Glenn) and Brad Deare (Darlene), and their two children Laura and Eric from her home of many years in Pickering Village.
Our “Mama” was humble, demure and always pleasant and supportive.
She always loved family visits, especially the holiday seasons. She also truly loved dogs and the interaction with those of her children.
She volunteered for the Canadian Cancer Society for several years and for many years she enjoyed participating in the Pickering Women’s Club and the Pickering Historical Society.
She will be dearly missed by us all while leaving us with many warm memories.
In accordance with her wishes, a private cremation has been arranged.
