Passed away on October 7, 2022 at the age of 69.
Loving wife of Jaime for over 42 years.
Beloved mother of Japeth and Justin. Cherished sister of Henry, Virginia, John, Vivian, William, along with her late siblings Mateo and Jimmy.
Merly will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She will be remembered for her love of music and her devotion to her family.

Marieta Hickey, age 78, of Ajax, Ontario passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Marieta Hickey, born in the Philippines on April 18, 1944, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
She worked for many years in an incandescent bulb company where she found her first love and late husband James Aragon and married December 1968 conceiving two wonderful children Maribel Aragon-Yalung and the late Jackson James Aragon.
Marieta sadly lost her love in 1972 encouraging her to strive for her children she voyaged to Canada and found love again with the late Maurice Hickey; remarried in 1986.
After many years working abroad, Marieta was finally reunited with her children in Canada.
Through all the trials and tribulations, she was able to find peace and joy when she found out she was going to become a grandmother to two loving grandchildren Enrique Yalung and Angelica Yalung, children of Maribel Yalung and Elmer Yalung.
Overjoyed, Marieta spent every day cherishing and caring for her grandchildren for many years.
Marieta was blessed to spend the rest of her days with her family and friends being the “social butterfly” she was through simple acts of kindness by cooking and giving food to everyone and anyone around her.
We will miss you dearly Grandma! A memorial visitation for Marieta will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario.
A memorial service will occur Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario.
A burial at the Resurrection Cemetery will occur Saturday, November 12, 2022.

With great sadness, we announce the loss of Michael Henry Dell.
Michael passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with his family by his side on Monday, October 24th, 2022, at the age of 78.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Yvonne; his children Heather (James) and Melisa (Andrew); incredibly supportive step-children Daphne (William), Roger (Sue), and Kelly; and grandchildren Laura, Scott, Hope and Ron.
Michael is survived by his brother David (Millie) and will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends.
Retired from Atlantic Packaging, Michael was a long-time associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 112, where he enjoyed competing with their dart team.
An avid bowler and music lover, Michael immensely enjoyed the last 25 summers at Bailey’s Bay Resort, watching (and playing when he could) golf and his cherished Blue Jays.
Michael will be remembered for his humourous and outspoken nature.
At Michael’s request, he will be cremated without fanfare.
A celebration of life will be held in 2023.
Passed peacefully in his 83rd year in the early hours of October 21, 2022 with Jean (nee Reid), his wife and travel partner of 62 years by his side.
Together with Jean, he was the loving father to Malcolm (Tracey), Ann (Brian), and Karen (Jamie).
Proud grandfather of Erin (Jeremy), Lindsey, and Tyler and step-grandfather to Alisha, Tylor and Brock.
He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends.

February 13, 1929 – October 11, 2022 - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our devoted mother, Marjorie Annabelle Sherwood and our incredibly loyal father William ‘Bill’ Sherwood who both passed away peacefully two days apart, committing to be together forever.
Marjorie was a RN from St. Michael’s Hospital school of nursing.
Mom will be fondly remembered on the tennis court with her powerful forearm swing, her passion for golf and skiing at Talisman ski hill.
She had a generous heart, cherished her family, friendships and had unwavering love for Dad. She was our sunshine, she made us happy when skies were gray.
Bill was graduate of Osgoode Law and practiced Law at Haffey, Sherwood & Hunt.
He was a passionate litigator who’s note taking was meticulous. Bill was an avid sports fan, active squash and golf player.
He was selflessly devoted to our Mom. Proud parents to their sons; Max (Nancy-Jo) and Steve (Heather). Their grandchildren; Abbie, Evan and Erin hold their special memories of their adoring grandparents in their hearts.
Our Mom and Dad were inseparable, one heart never to be broken.
They were best friends and loved each other to the moon and back.
