It is with a heavy heart that the Moussa family announces the passing of Edward Moussa on January 31st, 2020, at age 50, surrounded by family and friends.Edward was beloved husband to his wife Zizzette, and wonderful father to his sons John and Brandon.Son of Jean and Alice, and brother to Elias (Lana), Pierre (Christina), and Mirelle.Proud uncle to Nicole, Rebecca, Andrew, Rachel, Gabriella, and Joelle.He was loved by all who knew him, and will forever be remembered by his family and friends. Peacefully, on Sunday, January 26, 2020, the Lakeridge Health Centre, in Port Perry, at age 93.Effie (nee Dinsdale) of Port Perry, beloved wife of the late Eric Bishop.Loving mother of Beverley and her husband the late Don Gordon, Carol and her husband Alex Shepherd, and Catharine Bishop.GG will also be missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great, grandchildren. Born in Brockville, Ontario, Elizabeth has lived across Canada, in the U.S., and enjoyed vacation homes in Lake Kennebeck, ON, Grenada, W.I., Florida, U.S., as well as travel elsewhere.Elizabeth worked as an interior decorator, and was excellent at creating all forms of artwork from painting to pottery. She was president of a Lapidist Club, and loved rock-hounding.She was an avid bridge player and golfer. She was a director of the driving committee to establish Ottawa’s Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).And involved in many school committees. Elizabeth was interested in everything and everyone. A memorial service will be held at the Port Perry Villa on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 3:30 p.m.Interment will be held in Ottawa, in the Spring. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.

March 25, 1950 – January 8, 2020Ted was born and raised in Peterborough, ON. Following a stroke, he joined his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 69.Beloved husband of 49+ years to Marlyn Hawks (Quackenbush). Loving father of Kimberly Mitchell (Jamie) of Oshawa, and Benjamin Hawks (Catalina) of Oshawa.Loved grandfather of Tristan (Cheri-Ann) Mitchell, Luis Hawks, and Rowan Mitchell. Lovingly remembered by his surviving siblings, Larry Hawks and Faith Cameron, as well as his many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and their families. Cherished friend and mentor to many.Ted is predeceased by his parents, William (Bill Sr) and Alberta (Bertie) Hawks, as well as brothers, David Hawks, Rodney (Rod) Hawks, and William (Bill Jr.) Hawks. Ted was a long-time member of the Salvation Army Church in both Peterborough, and Oshawa. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 22, 2020 at Wilmot Creek. Ellison Sidney ‘Tom’ Tomlinson

(December 25th, 1933 - January 4th, 2020) Tom passed peacefully in his 87th year with his family by his side, on January 4, 2020.Survived by his wife of 68 years, Rosemary, son David, daughter-in-law Paula and brother-in-law George.Paula was particularly instrumental in helping to ensure that Ellis’s final months were as comfortable as possible. Also survived by his grandchildren, Michael (Janet) and Susan (Jordon) and much loved grandson-in-law Mark.In addition, great grandchildren, Justin, Bradley, Danielle, Joshua, Matthew and Evan.Loved by nieces, Lorraine, Pauline and Melanie and nephews, Iori and John.Predeceased by his daughter (Susan), brother Reginald of Luton, England, sister-in-law Rhian and nephew Gene.Ellison grew up in the beginning of World War II in England, he served with the British Royal Navy, earned an apprenticeship as a machine tool fitter, worked with George Kents Marine Engineering, Vauxhall Motors, he emigrated to Canada in 1965 and worked with General Motors for 29 years until retirement in 1994. Ellison was a perfectionist in much of his daily efforts, he was a gentle and very kind man only wanting the best for his family and friends. While he may not have acknowledged it himself, he was highly respected by all who came to know him. Visitation will be held at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, (905-432-8484) on Monday, January 13th from 11:00 a.m. until time of Service of Remembrance in the chapel at 1:00 p.m.
