Clarence was born in Moncton, NB and graduated from the University of Moncton in Math and Economics.Over the years, Clarence worked for several major financial institutions in New Brunswick, Ottawa, and Toronto. Later, he ran his own commercial mortgage and consulting company: Onedin Acceptance Corporation. He never forgot his Acadian heritage and was very social. He enjoyed making people laugh and cooking seafood. He loved music in general, especially Cajun music. Sometimes he drove us crazy playing it very loud.A funeral service has taken place on Friday, June 19th.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chuck Brownell on June 4, 2020 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.Husband and best friend to Gail for 51 years.Chuck was the son of the late Rev. Gordon and Mary Brownell.Beloved brother of Gordon (d) Bryon (d) Victoria, Cameron, Naomi and Ruth.A very special Uncle to numerous nephews and nieces.Chuck was a Director with WSIB for many years and also with International Health Care.He loved sports and played most of them well. Upon retirement he enjoyed golfing at Cedarhurst in Beaverton during the summer and Florida in the winter.Every spring Chuck greatly enjoyed starting plants from seeds, which he harvested from his gardens the previous year.Chuck suffered from lupus for many years, however he never allowed it to slow him down. It simply made him more determined to keep going and enjoy life.A special individual, he will be greatly missed by family and many friends.Private burial to take place in Beaverton. There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at a later date.If you so wish, a donation to Lupus Ontario would be most appreciated by the family.

Carole was predeceased on April 17, 2020 by her dearly loved husband of 61 years, Robert (Bob) O’Reilly. Carole is survived by her daughters Susan (Mike) and Michele (Jody) and granddaughter Lauren.Carole was the bedrock of her family, staying home for 12 years to raise their daughters before resuming her career as an executive assistant in the insurance industry.Carole was a great friend to all, and she thrived in social situations where her love of life was evident. Carole was always there for her two daughters, never missing an opportunity to make every special occasion and life event meaningful for Susan, Shelly and the family. Carole continued her thoughtful, caring ways with her granddaughter Lauren as they spent treasured time together.
