Suddenly at his home on July 2nd, 2020, Chris reunited with his parents (Robert and Linda Schneider) in heaven. After a short battle with cancer, Chris is now pain free and at peace. Chris will be lovingly remembered by his devoted sister Tracy Paterson (Tom Reher) his nephews Graham Paterson(Kara Ellis) and William Paterson (Carley Paterson). Also adored by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A special thank you to all the staff over the past many years at Oshawa Community Living for their care and support.

Clarence Wedge

(April 27, 1951 - June 15, 2020)Clarence passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday June 15, 2020. He died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 69. Beloved husband to Barbara Wedge, cherished father to Andrew (Donna), Kevin, and Amanda (Robert Barron). Caring brother to Anne Marie Boudreau, Gary Wedge (Lori) and Joanne Wedge. Dear uncle to Joey Boudreau, Michael Boudreau, Steven Stricker and Lauren Stricker. Clarence was born in Moncton, NB and graduated from the University of Moncton in Math and Economics.Over the years, Clarence worked for several major financial institutions in New Brunswick, Ottawa, and Toronto. Later, he ran his own commercial mortgage and consulting company: Onedin Acceptance Corporation. He never forgot his Acadian heritage and was very social. He enjoyed making people laugh and cooking seafood. He loved music in general, especially Cajun music. Sometimes he drove us crazy playing it very loud.A funeral service has taken place on Friday, June 19th.
Cheryl (Groh) Mabley

(August 26, 1947 – May 28, 2020) Peacefully passed away with her husband, Larry, by her side in Oshawa on Thursday May 28th, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Cheryl leaves behind three children James, Douglas and Kelly, as well as daughters-in-law Donna and Wanda.She will be missed by her grandchildren Anthony, Shawn, Jonathon and Samantha and their families. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Cheryl always looked for the best in everyone and family was always special to her. She touched a lot of lives and all who knew her were special to her. We will have a celebration of life at a later date. Charles George Brownell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chuck Brownell on June 4, 2020 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.Husband and best friend to Gail for 51 years.Chuck was the son of the late Rev. Gordon and Mary Brownell.Beloved brother of Gordon (d) Bryon (d) Victoria, Cameron, Naomi and Ruth.A very special Uncle to numerous nephews and nieces.Chuck was a Director with WSIB for many years and also with International Health Care.He loved sports and played most of them well. Upon retirement he enjoyed golfing at Cedarhurst in Beaverton during the summer and Florida in the winter.Every spring Chuck greatly enjoyed starting plants from seeds, which he harvested from his gardens the previous year.Chuck suffered from lupus for many years, however he never allowed it to slow him down. It simply made him more determined to keep going and enjoy life.A special individual, he will be greatly missed by family and many friends.Private burial to take place in Beaverton. There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at a later date.If you so wish, a donation to Lupus Ontario would be most appreciated by the family.

April 12, 1936 - May 29, 2020 It is with indescribable sadness that we announce the passing of Carole Madeline O’Reilly (nee Byrnes) on May 29, 2020 after 84 memorable years. Carole was born on April 12, 1936 in Toronto, daughter of Alphonse and Madeline, sister to Phyllis and Whitney. Carole was predeceased on April 17, 2020 by her dearly loved husband of 61 years, Robert (Bob) O’Reilly. Carole is survived by her daughters Susan (Mike) and Michele (Jody) and granddaughter Lauren.Carole was the bedrock of her family, staying home for 12 years to raise their daughters before resuming her career as an executive assistant in the insurance industry.Carole was a great friend to all, and she thrived in social situations where her love of life was evident. Carole was always there for her two daughters, never missing an opportunity to make every special occasion and life event meaningful for Susan, Shelly and the family. Carole continued her thoughtful, caring ways with her granddaughter Lauren as they spent treasured time together. Their special bond will always be a source of strength and happiness.Carole will be forever loved and missed by her two adoring daughters and their families.In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Toronto Humane Society or the Toronto Zoo in Carole’s and Bob’s names.Unfortunately, due to recent events there will be no public service.

Survived by her two daughters Kimberly Hurst (Ron), and Heather Day and her sister Marilyn (Peters), husband Leo, nephews Brendan and Brook and their families. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Mitchel and Meghan Hurst.Previous resident of Wynfield Retirement Home.She will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends.She was a member of Sweet Adelines for 39 years where she contributed creatively to singing and performing, and held several executive positions in which she found much purpose and joy.A special heartfelt thank you to Lakeridge Health Whitby & Oshawa Dialysis Units, and all the doctors and nurses for their continued care and support. A private family service will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME.

Cherished mother of Wendy Young, Bill Morris, David Morris (Marian) and Barb (Lionel) Gilham. Predeceased by her daughter Nancy Lynn Morris (1991). Very proud Grandma of Warren, Kelsey, Brian, Levi, Jason, Ben and Matthew, and great-grandma of Sophie, Sarah and Keegan. Colleen will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Cremation followed by private family service. Interment in Ottawa, Ontario.
