Edwin Harold 'Ed' - (November 8, 1928 - September 15, 2019) - On Sunday, September 15th, 2019, Ed danced to "Victory in Jesus" as he left church. Early in the evening he left this earth cradled in the arms of his loving wife, Elaine Jeans, of 68 years straight into the arms of Jesus where he is now doing his "jig" on the streets he so badly wanted to see. Ed was a devoted husband and a wonderful loving dad to his six children, Jerry (Debbie) Jeans, Angela (Ron) DeMille, Nancy (Jim) Somerville, Dan (Cindy) Jeans, Jack (Jayne) Jeans, Karen (Bill) Cox; 16 grandchildren and 6 plus 2 great-grandchildren. This man taught us so much love and devotion and how to have faith and trust. He was a valued member of Liberty Pentecostal church for over 50 years. We celebrate your "going home". You will be greatly missed! A Memorial Service will be held at Liberty Church, 1965 Martin Road, Bowmanville on Saturday September 21st at 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ERDO or Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp, Cobourg, a meaningful haven to them for over 40 years.

I am deeply saddened to inform you that Elisabeth (Els) passed away Tuesday September 10th, 2019 a.m.As many of you know, she was diagnosed with recurrent oral cancer last February.Els is survived by her husband Frits III, her children Frits IV (Dianne), Peter (Stacey), Paula (Rick) and Mariela (Michael), her 8 grandchildren and their partners, her brothers Hans (Elly) and Guus and their families and the Jansen family in The Netherlands.She will also be fondly remembered by her friends near and far.Visitation will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home, on Friday September 13th from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM. 1928 - 2019 It is with great sadness that the family of Emma Cappuccitti announce her passing on September 6, at the age of 91. Emma was born in Fornelli Italy on February 15, 1928 to the late Domenico and Carmela Castaldi.She grew up in Fornelli with her two brothers and four sisters.In 1945 she married her beloved husband Armando Cappuccitti and moved to Sora Italy where she was welcomed by his large extended family.In 1953 she settled in Oshawa with her husband and two young daughters, where she lived a long, happy and fulfilling life. She has now joined her dear husband Armando (1994) with whom she will be happy to be finally reunited with. Emma will be missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Marina Ziccardi and Silvana Mazzotta and son-in-laws Mike and Joe.Adored Nonnina to her granddaughters Angela Bortolussi (Mike), Louise Mazzotta, Linda Bosnjak (Tom) and Jenny Ruddock and loving Nonni Nonni to great grandchildren Isaac, Ava, Isabella, Luca, Matteo and Christian. Emma is pre-deceased by her brothers, Vincenzo Castaldi (Maria) and Giuseppe Castaldi (Mariannina) and sisters Filomena Melocchi (Rocco), Maria Ruzzo (Giovanni), Erminia Castaldi and Seriana Mastroianni (Sante). She is pre-deceased by her brother-in-laws, Giuseppe Cappuccitti ( Speranza) and Vincenzo Cappuccitti (Francesca) and Sister-in-law Francesca Ambra (Antonio).She is survived by her brother-in-law Donato Cappuccitti and his wife Maria. Emma was blessed with and will be missed by many wonderful nieces and nephews and many friends who were an active part of her life especially in the last years when she needed them most. Special thanks to her “family” at Hillsdale Terraces for their love and care through her last difficult years.
(May 17, 1951 - September 6, 2019)It is with a heavy heart we let you all know that on Friday, September 6th, 2019, we lost a very great man, Egidio (aka Gino) Riccio, age 68 years.It was sudden and unexpected.For those who didn't know him well, he was a proud, strong, confident, caring, passionate and stubborn man.He walked like he was on top of the world. Didn't care what people thought and didn't let things stand in his way. He always knew what he wanted and did whatever it took to get it.He was a great provider, husband (46 Years 09/01/1973) to my mom Stella and a great father to Emilio (Susie) and Michelina Villamere (Bryan), adored Nonno to Kaleigh, Coralynn, Andrea and Lucas, beloved brother of Nicolino (Anna).Gino was predeceased by his parents Emilio and Michelina as well as five brothers and sisters in Italy, brothers in law Larry Volpe (Rose), John Volpe (Rita), Tony Volpe (Sharane), He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends in Canada, Italy and the United States.Gino had many careers including Chrysler, Tony’s Pizza, Tony’s Restaurant and Catering, Tony’s Night Spot, Custom Racks, IPDS and finally he was a proud employee and mentor of APPCO Paving. He gave everything he had and gave it with love, passion and pride. He will be greatly missed.Please keep him in your prayers and in your thoughts as we prepare to give our last goodbyes as he moves on to live an eternal life with God. It is with incredible sadness but also with great hope that we share the news the Edward George James Homes (84 years old) has gone to his heavenly home.The angels came and took my sweet Husband, our beloved Dad, Papa and Great Papa to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 4th, 2019, peacefully with his family by his side.e was the most amazing and wonderful Husband of Nettie (Wasiluke) for 62 years (September 7th, 1957).The dearest Dad of David (Marlene), Scotty & Carolyn, his princess Wendy & Scott Couper, predeceased by our precious angel, Susan Elizabeth , and Kathy & Glen Taylor.He was the most cherished Papa in the world to Kayley & Caleb Dunn, Shelby, Alexandria & Jacob Dunn, Olivia (Tyson), Cody (Natalie), Rachel and Justin Edward. He was the sweetest Great Papa to his “Wee Princess” Noelyn Grace and his two precious great grand baby boy twins, Miles and Fletcher; he lived for them, each one of his family.He was an amazing brother-in-law to our sweet sister, our angel Mary, Olga (Nick), his late sister-in-law Shirley (Stan), and Alex (Bubs). He was the dear son of the late George & Bessie Homes, brother to Josie (Neil) and his late sisters; Jessie (Elwood), Marg (Denny) & Bid (Norm).He was the son-in-law of the late Alexander & Tillie Wasiluke, who adored their “Eddie”. He was loved by his many nieces and nephews, cousins, his dearest friends; Sibby, Peter & Evelyn, his church family and his work buddies.Our love, our faith in God and our deep love for each other is what kept us going through his long and difficult journey with prostate cancer. But through it all, Ed never lost his joy.We want to thank the wonderful cancer team, Dr. A. Lee, Nurse Paulette, Dr. Greg Lo, Dr. McAllister, Dr. Chang, our family doctor, Dr. M. Ali, and our home Nurse Joan, who brought so much fun and compassion into our home. Our paramed and palliative care workers were always so kind and giving, they treated us just like family with so much love.There will never be a more caring, compassionate and fun-loving team than the nurses and staff on the 4F Cancer support floor. They loved Ed and I, and we loved them.Thank you from the bottom our hearts, we will never forget you! I have lost the most kind and loving Husband, he truly was the wind beneath my wings and the song in my heart.We were inseparable, we were still so madly in love and because of that, my life will never be the same again. One day we will walk the Streets of Gold together, hand in hand.
