Thelma passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at age 95.Thelma (nee Powell), beloved wife of the late Ernie Banks.Precious mother of Marilyn and her husband Bryan Youmans of Utica and the late Janice (1978). “Granny” to Meredith and her husband Graham Beach of Uxbridge, Matthew Youmans and his wife Sarah of Utica and Adam Youmans and his wife Angela of Seagrave and great grandmother of Oliver, Madeline, Archer and Greta.Private Graveside Service in Prince Albert on Tuesday, February 3rd.Thelma’s life was enriched by many special people who cared for her over the past few years.A sincere thank you to the girls at Personal Attendant Care, the nursing staff at Lakeridge Health Port Perry, all the loving caregivers at the Community Nursing Home and to Dr. Ross and Dr. Tse who took care of her last week.If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation

Suddenly as the result of an accident on Wednesday October 29th, 2014 at the age of 43. Loved husband of Jennifer Wells of Brooklin. Much loved Dad of Megan, Mason and Maddin. Loved son of Peggy Thom of Whitby (pre-deceased by his father Walter). Always remembered by his brother Doug and his wife Susan of Whitby and his sister Tracey Thom and her husband James Kyte of Reno Nevada. Son-in-law of Stan and Gloria Wells of Oshawa as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law Stephanie Wells, Vicky and Ron Pye and Jason and Amy Wells. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, their families and many many friends through-out Hockey and his work. Visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday.(November 4th). A service to celebrate Mikes life will be held in the Barnes Chapel on Wednesday. Friends may visit on Tuesday, however the service will be a private family event. In memory of Mike, memorial donations to Jump Start would be most appreciated.

Proud grandfather (Opa) of Theressa, Tim, Christina, Charlene, Stephen, Michelle, Tanille, Gavin, Brandon and Brianna. Great-grandfather to Tyron, Isaiah, Camron, Tristan, Hunter and Liam. Ted was a proud farmer and was retired from General Motors, Oshawa. He was a good friend and neighbour, always willing to help others when they needed a hand. He touched the lives of many people, was well loved, respected and will be forever missed and remembered.
