CLELAND, Patricia Mary Hockley (nee Dubie) Cleland -
March 17 1929 - August 1 2024
With family close, Pat passed peacefully on August 1st at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on her terms.
Daughter of Edward Dubie and Cordelia Logan, Pat will be lovingly remembered by her son, William Edward Hockley (Pam) of North York, daughter, B Anne Jackson (Kevin) of Scarborough and grandchildren Karen (Scarborough) and Heather (North Vancouver).
She was preceded in death by her husbands William Joseph Hockley (d. 1988) and Harry Cleland (d. 2010).
Pat lived a full and fulfilled life.
Born in St Michael’s Hospital Toronto, she spent her early years in Cabbagetown. Following school at St. Joseph’s, Pat moved to Uxbridge where she met a dashing veteran recently home from Europe and they married in 1947.
Pat and Bill raised their family in West Hill and built their cottage and log cabin in the Halliburton Highlands 1967-1988.
Pat retired from General Motors’ Scarborough office in 1986 with 25 years of service. Pat and Harry, her charming Irishman, were married in 1991 and spent summers in Pickering and then New Hamberg. They travelled often, visiting many ports of call around the globe and enjoyed winters in Arizona.
As a single senior, Pat lived in the Court at Brooklyn, Harmony Hills, and Livita Pickering Retirement Residences.
In each of these many chapters of her life, Pat cultivated lifelong friendships. Her family and friends will always remember her positive outlook and easy laugh.
A private service will be held at Uxbridge Cemetery later this year.

Loving sister to Jennifer (Chris), Brian (Linda, deceased) and Phillip (Cecelia). She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Richard, Janine, Selina, Kelly Dawn, Kyle, Angelique, Ryan and Timothy; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Loving wife and best friend of Robert for more than 63 years.
Beloved mother of Karen, Paul and Tim (Ally). Devoted Nana to Ben, Blair, Olivia, Barrett, Grayson and Avery.
She will be missed by her nieces and nephews and friends from Lorne Park, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Port Credit and Alliston.
Shirley grew up in Toronto and worked at Ernst and Ernst.
After raising her family, she worked at Ethan Allen and then as the secretary to the president of the Remax head office. The family wishes to thank Dr. S. Kassam for his excellent care the last 4 years. There was grace in every step she took and she will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Port Credit, August 26th at 1 p.m.

CESSAR, Frank - God called Frank peacefully on July 29, 2024 at the age of 93.

CLELAND, Robert Spencer - Passed away peacefully, at Cedarvale Lodge, Keswick, ON, on Thursday, July 24, 2024, just a few months away from his 100th birthday.
Predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth Cleland (2016).
Dearly loved father of Doug (Joan), Heather (the late Tom), Sharon (Nick), and David (Tanya).
He will be missed by his 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Frances Margaret Claxton (nee Chianelli).
Predeceased by her husband, Douglas (2020); her daughter, Theresa (2023).
Frances is survived by her sons, Peter and Michael; and her daughter; Cathy (Barney Lawn).
Cherished by her grandchildren, Christopher Lawn (April), Shannon Bailey (Richard) and Brittany Claxton (Dylan Thompson).
Proud great-grandma to Leo and Vitina Lawn, Owen and Ava Bailey, and Oliver Thompson.
Sadly missed by her brothers, Jim (Donna), Sam (Penny) and Jack (Sue) Chianelli. Thanks to her nurse, Joanne; PSWs, Tawnia, Sandra and Cassie. A special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Stacie Kling.
Frances was so proud of her late daughter, Theresa, and her work as a pioneer in mental health peer support.

Following the reception, burial will take place in Thornhill, ON.

She will be missed by all but we take comfort knowing she is dancing with loved ones once again.
