Glenda Sara Mariana Maduro (Mansur) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 29, 2024, in her 82nd year. Born to Eva Muyale and Farog Mansur, in Oranjestad, Aruba, on July 5, 1942, Glenda was sister to her late siblings Myrna, John, Farida, Jacqueline, and Anthony Mansur.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of 60 years, Mario Maduro (Maiky). Loving mother to Mario Jr. Maduro, Farrel Maduro (Zenah Masri), and Elaine (Michael) Rawn. Proud grandmother to Brady and Jordan Rawn and Farrah Maduro, as well as her fur grandbabies, Ginger and Pepper.

Glenda will be missed by her cousins, nieces and nephews, Goddaughter Annie, her friends, and Facebook followers. She walked in unwavering faith, devoted to God and the Blessed Virgin. May God grant her eternal rest.

A small Catholic ceremony will be held at St. Joseph the Worker in Oshawa, on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.

He’ll be dearly missed by his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynda & Willy VanDoleweerd, Gay & Brian Fletcher and their families. Predeceased by his parents Gordon & Helen Saville and his brother Jim Harvey.

He retired as a Detective from Metro Toronto Police Force, MSS in 1993, fondly referred to as 54 there, with 33.5 years service.

Dave has resided in Ajax, ON since 1967, a natural social butterfly, loving his food, fun and friends.

Margaret passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre on Sunday, November 26 in her 83rd year.

Born in Brant Township on December 18, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Eva (nee Cadden) Swift.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lawrence Ruppel on October 19, 2000.
Margaret was the loving and kind mother of Robert Ruppel (Janice Barbuto), Joe Ruppel (Lynne), Bernice Rennie (Steve), Laurie Ruppel (Edgar Rothwell), David Ruppel (Crystal), Melissa Ruppel, and predeceased by infant daughter Rosemarie. She will be remembered fondly by Debbie Shute (Garry) and Deb Beck.
She was the cherished Grandma of Erin (Jason) Cressman, Lacey Ruppel (Chad McDonald), Jenna Scott (Jamie), Tyler Rennie (Erin), Stephanie Parks (Chris), Chevy Rennie (Aly), Ashley Rothwell, Becca, Morgan, and Taylor. Proud great-grandma of Max, Sophia, Brixton, Hudson, Logan, Landon, Kelsey, and Kylie.
Survived by her brother Jim Swift, and predeceased by siblings: Lois, Jean, Shirley, Art, and Harold. She will be remembered fondly by sister-in-law Marlene Clough, brother-in-law Carman (Ruth), sister-in-law Bernice Noble (late Carl), predeceased by sister-in-law Edythe Smith (Ross), and will be remembered also by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Margaret will be remembered as one of the hardest working women in town. She loved to read and tend to her flower and vegetable gardens. Caring for others and her family meant the world to her, always putting them before herself. She was a great supporter to the local Avon Rep. Margaret absolutely adored her cats and treated them like family.

Margaret’s family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home on Thursday, November 30th from 5 until 8 p.m.

A funeral service to be held on Friday, December 1st at Olivet Baptist Church in Meaford at 11 a.m. with reception following.

A private family service of interment will take place at Elma Cemetery.

On Thursday June 20th, 2024, after 76 years of life, George passed away at his home.

George (Georgie) was born November 11, 1947, in Georgetown, Guyana. Georgie is the son of Olga Giddings and Arnim Walcott. Sisters: Waveney Limerick (deceased), Caroline Patricia Anderson(deceased), Shirley Caleb(deceased); and Pauline Walcott. Georgie is adored by his many nieces and nephews.

Georgie started his primary school years at Smith Church Congregational school and continued his High School education at Central High School, Georgetown. In his early years, Georgie sang on the Radio Demerara Ovaltine show.
While in High School, Georgie remained physically fit and buff by means of weightlifting.

Georgie emigrated to Canada in 1967, where he joined his sister Waveney. George completed a career at the Toronto Post Office as a Postal Clerk.

Georgie led a quiet and private life, which included reading the Bible daily. On the kitchen table, George kept a dictionary which he appeared to study every chance he got. He often said, "Ask me any word, and I will give you the definition". He was always right.

His handwriting was impeccable, and he kept miscellaneous writings around the house. People often commented about the uniqueness of his handwriting.

Georgie was observant of people and things around him, and he possessed a good sense of humor. His kindness and generosity were displayed in faithfully selecting and sending thoughtful greeting cards which sometimes included "a small piece". He often shared his knowledge of all things freely.

Georgie will be greatly missed by family and friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Paula (Chip) and Rhonda (Kevin), and beloved Opa to Aletta, Mitchel, Matthew, Alicia, Devon, JD, Athena and Shay and Great grandfather to Oliver, Ryder and Oliver.
He will bemissed by his nieces Jackie, Lorraine and Pam (Christine and Roger Graveline), who remember him as Uncle Jerry. He was a friend to many, and a special ‘dear’ friend to Vince Keating (Mable).
Gunter was born in Schwalmtal, Germany on August 20, 1939, to the late Amiel and Aletta Gritzan (Schurmann).
Gunter was predeceased by his older brothers Hans, Ralph and sister Lotti and Margot (Moggi and Uncle Fred), survived by his younger brother Hans.
Gunter moved to Canada in 1957 at the age 18. He lived his life with a positive attitude and optimistic outlook, his humour charmed many , and his favourite pastime was a round of golf. He owned and ran a successful business Durable Caulking for 40 years.
The success of his company allowed him to travel to many countries; Mexico, Jamaica, Columbia, all over Europe on multiple occasions, finally settling on Florida where his
children and grandchildren would visit for years.
Gunter will be sadly missed by all of his family and his friends.

A celebration of Gunters life will follow late summer where he will be additionally remembered by his cottage friends David and Sally D’Mello, Ian and Iris Latimer and of course dear family friend Father Greg Physick.
