Passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, April 15, 2019 in the comfort of her home 3 days after her 78th birthday.Ester was a loving wife to her husband Alejandro for almost 55 years, beloved mother to their six daughters Chevy (Ardeshir Arvandi), Belinda (Edgar Tojino), Mailani (Daniel McVicker), Yolanda (Darwin Oba), Minda, and May (Paul Bugeia).She was also the cherished Lola (grandmother, lovingly called "Nanay") to Keeyan, Keeyara, Tyron, Erica, Nicholas, Shawn, Alexis, Miles, Gabrielle and Aiden. Ester is also survived by her four brothers Leonardo, Agripino, Isagani and Pepito, and is predeceased by her father Arsenio, her mother Juana and her brother Felicisimo.Ester touched so many lives and will be sorely missed and forever loved by her extended family both in Canada and in the Philippines.Ester was born in Imus, Cavite, and at the age of 18 met the love of her life Alejandro. After 10 years of marriage, they decided then to immigrate to Canada in 1974. Her husband arrived in Canada first and Ester soon followed with their six daughters in tow. Graciously, Alejandro’s sister Nelita, her husband Rudy and their daughter Michelle welcomed the Antonio Family into their home for several weeks until their new home in Toronto was ready.Most of all, Ester was happiest when she was surrounded by all her children and grandchildren.A visitation will be held for Ester at McEachnie Funeral Home on Saturday April 20, 2019 at 5-9pm, as well as on Easter Sunday April 21, 2019 at 5-9pm. Fittingly, Ester was so named because she was born during the Easter Season. Mass will be held at St. Frances De Sales Catholic Parish at 1001 Ravenscroft Rd in Ajax on Monday April 22, 2019 at 11am.As per her wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family service and interment to be held at a later date
