Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday January 31, 2024 at the age of 79 years in Port Perry, Ontario.

Son of the late Helen and Frank DuBray.

Brother of the late Donna.

Husband of the late Francey (nee Roncetti) and the late Heather (nee Buchanan). Loving father of Lorraine DuBray (Mark) and Joseph DuBray and his extended family; Justin and Jason Pitre and numerous grandchildren and their families.

Fred worked as a Cable Splicer for Toronto Hydro and Ontario Hydro.

He had many fond memories of the folks he met at work and the time spent on fishing trips with his friends and coworkers.

He was passionate about Genealogy, Canada, History and Gettysburg and spent his lifetime researching these subjects. He loved music and movies. He was a rescue Dad to cats and cared for the welfare of animals.

He could start a conversation with just about anyone, on just about any subject and cherished time spent with friends at the local pub.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the interment ceremony at Prince Albert Pine Grove Cemetery on Thursday February 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM.

Beloved wife of the late Roland (2000).

Cherished Mom of Tim McKenna (Linda), Mark McKenna (Elaine), Jill Foley (Mike), and Mary-Ellen McKenna (Dave).

Loving grandmother of Kerry (Kathy), Patrick (Shiv), Ryan (Steph), Sean (Meg), Kathleen (Eric), Jarrett (Britt), Kendra, and Carly and great-grandmother of Hannah, Colin, Sienna, Cameron, Haylie, Lennon, and Harper.

Dear sister of Gertie (the late Mike), Hermien (Frans), and sister-in-law of Cheri.

Predeceased by her siblings Tony (Teresa), Mieke, and Joe. Freda will be sadly missed by Liesje, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Special thanks to the staff of Bloom Retirement for their loving care. Heartfelt gratitude to her dear friend Marsha. Freda was born in Raalte, Holland to Frits & Mary Noordman.

They lived through WWII in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1950.

After moving to Oshawa, Freda worked at the grocery store owned by her future husband, Rolly.

They raised their family in Oshawa and were engaged parishioners of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church where Freda was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for decades.

Freda enjoyed spending her time tending to her beautiful gardens, arranging silk flowers, and reading.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church (3800 Courtice Rd. North, Courtice).

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, a charitable organization Freda and Rolly actively supported for a great many years.

The family of Florence Forsyth (nee Wright) are saddened to announce her passing at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton on January 19, 2024.

Florence was predeceased by her loving husband Donald Stephen Forsyth, her two sons Donald (Butch) and Lawrence (Larry) and grandson Andrew.

She is survived by her sons William ‘Bill’, Paul, Stephen ‘Ted’ (Debbie), her daughter Nancy and three grandchildren Greg, Tammy and Amanda. Florence was born in Toronto April 11, 1932.

She was raised in Cooksville, Ontario, where she met her husband, Donald. They were married on February 21, 1952 and settled in Uxbridge where they raised six children.

Don and Flo were very active in the Royal Canadian Legion, Uxbridge and Flo was very supportive of the Uxbridge Legion Pipe Band.

She was affectionately known as the “band mom” by the young members as she always had a band aid, aspirin or supportive word when needed.

For many years they enjoyed a trailer site in Haliburton Forest where cherished friendships were made. She loved her forest family.

Thanksgiving was always special having the family together sharing a meal and good times.

Many thanks to the nursing staff at Lakeview Manor for the excellent and supportive care. We are truly grateful to have such a wonderful facility in our area.

There will be no funeral service, as was her wish, but a Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.

Dearly beloved husband of the late Barbara (Nee Way). Loving father of Rick (Pam), Pamela McPhee, Wayne (Sookhee), and Andrea Thornton (Brent).

Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Shawn, Kristin, Leanne, Katelyn, Kyle and great grandfather of 5.

Will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and friends. Fred was a retired employee of General Motors Canada.

He was involved with GM Salaried Hockey League as referee and coach; also curling, golf and Scottish Country Dancing.

Fred was inducted into the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame for Boxing.

Frans (Frank) Glasbergen, was called home by our Lord and Savior, with the family by his side at the Oshawa, Lakeridge Hospital on January 6th, 2024, at the age of seventy-nine.

Elva Marlene (McGill) Glasbergen was the loving wife of Frank Glasbergen for 55 years, and together fifty-eight years. Proud father of David Glasbergen and partner Tracey McFarlane, Denyse Glasbergen and partner Aaron Wells, Debbie Glasbergen, Sabrina Hall partner of predeceased Dwayne Glasbergen.

Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Bryan Deering, Kaehly and Mat Shanahan, Galen and Elena Ouellet, Mackenize and partner James Pendleton, Kamryn and partner Taylor Donovan, Cody and Lisa Glasbergen, Amanda McKay and partner Andrew Griffiths, Andrew McKay, and Madsion Glasbergen (Hall).
