Ileen Eleanor Neuman
With heavy hearts but happy memories we announce that Ileen Eleanor (Gosick) Neuman has gone on to heaven to join her husband, Bill, of 53 years of marriage on Friday, October 7 after succumbing to Alzheimer’s.
She was born to Stanley and Leona Gosick on March 27,1926, in Melville, Saskatchewan and was the last survivor of their nine children.
Along with her brother Ben and her future husband Bill she moved to Ontario after World War II and married Bill on April 9, 1949.
She is mother to Murray (Carolyn) and Sharon Melnychuk (Peter). Grandmother to Garrett (Melissa), Geoffrey (Charity), Genna (Chris) and Joshua (Krystle) and great-grandmother to Grant, Hayden, Stella Rose, Micah, Austin, Blake and Graeson.
She lived in Oshawa until Bill retired, then moved to Campbellford. She always admired and doted on her grandchildren, often claiming to have raised them single-handedly.
Sometime after Bill’s passing she moved to Marion Place seniors’ apartments and most recently resided at Glen Hill Strathaven nursing home in Bowmanville.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all who provided care for her there. She will be missed.

Isabel Gladys Middleton
Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, at age 103.
Isabel (nee Worr), beloved wife of the late Arnold Middleton.
Dear mother of Edward (Doreen) Middleton, Ronald (Donna) Middleton, Donna (Eric) Hughes, and Laura (Philip) Bryant.
Isabel will be missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Dear sister of Alan (Anne) Worr. Predeceased by her siblings, Wilfred, Betty, Nancy, and John.

Ida Elberta Andringa
Age 82 years The Lord took unto Himself on October 2nd, 2022 at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry.
Loving mother of Jan Andringa & his wife Paulette Hébert, Janet & her husband David Downer, Danny Andringa & his wife Brenda and Monica & her husband John Korry.
Beloved partner of Gordon Schaubel and predeceased by her husband Yde Andringa.

Ida was predeceased by 8 siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her many friends, nieces and nephews.

Irene Ryder
Long-time resident of Cannington, ON, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, at age 92.
Born in the north of England in 1930, Irene immigrated to Canada in the 1950s, following her sister Joan to Toronto.
She settled in Toronto’s Witchwood/Hillcrest neighbourhood and began a career in the insurance industry.
She worked her way up through the ranks at Constitution Insurance, rising to become vice president.
Always independent-minded, upon her retirement Irene obtained her first driver’s license, bought a car and moved to her beloved Cannington, where she spent her remaining days, living in her own home, connecting with the community.
A talented crafter and voracious reader, she particularly enjoyed her time with her friends in craft and book clubs. Predeceased by siblings Kevin, Joan, John, Vincent, and Rita.
She is survived by her sister Liz Adams of New Jersey and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to her many friends in the community and in particular Mac and Pam for being wonderful neighbours and for helping Irene maintain her independence.
A celebration of Irene’s life will be hosted by her family at her home on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 1 – 4 p.m.

Passed away at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton on Saturday September 3rd, 2022 at the age of 86 years.
Beloved wife of the late John McGill.

Ian William Stewart
1940 - 2022 Born November 29th 1940 in Glasgow during war time. Ian grew up in Clydebank, Scotland and moved to Toronto, Canada in 1965 with his beloved wife of 57 years, Maria Stewart.
Ian passed on Wednesday, August 17th peacefully surrounded by his family, listening to music and sharing stories from a life well lived.
Ian is survived by his beloved wife May, and three children whom he adored, Graham (Christena), Gregg (Raffy) and Nicole and 7 grandchildren Kelsey, Abby, Marisa, Alex, Lyla, Sophia, Max.
Ian is also survived by his older sister, Elsie.
Ian enjoyed life, family members and many friends and he was always there to brighten the lives of others with his great sense of humour.
He will be missed but not forgotten.
