Peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Dear son of the late George and Annie Findlay (nee Kemlo) and brother of the late George Kemlo, the late Brian and sister Edna May Findlay.

Beloved husband of 62 years to Christine Ann Findlay (nee Ruler).

Dearly loved father of Susan Patricia Gay (Doug), Andrew Russell (Debbie), Donald Cameron (Rhonda) and Jennifer Jane Marshall (Alex).

Grandad to Justin Earl (Karen), Melissa Danielle (Chad), Kaitlin Elizabeth (Connor), Corbin Alexander, Jack Cameron (Brooke), Jason Donald, James Callum and Isla Catherine. Great-grandad to Briar, Kaiden and Finn.

Russell retired from General Motors after 30 years of service and he was a member of the GM Pipe Band. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, Whitby, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Durham Region.
