October 11, 1949 – April 4th 2023
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Heather on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023, at the age of 73.
Heather was born and raised in Oshawa and went on to have a long and successful career at General Motors.
Predeceased by her husband and best friend Bob Howes and loving sister Debbie Buntsma (Evert). Heather will be sadly missed by her four children, Toni (Rob), Kristine (Brian), Samantha and Rob (Jenn).
Proud Nana of her ten grandchildren, Savannah, Georgia, Sophia, Rowan, Haley (Lachlan), Erika (Callum), Mason (Ashtyn), Bryce, Sydney and Katlynn, her five great grandchildren and her beloved dog Maggie.
Heather will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her lifelong friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, April 15th from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be appreciated by the family.

Passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Baycrest Hospital, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 65.
Loving mother of Brook and stepmother of Brad.
Dear aunt of Boston (Christy) and great-aunt of Audrey and Anna.
Helen will be missed by Russ (Angela) and by her best friend Vicky Collins.
Predeceased by her parents Stefan and Tina Kowalczyk and by her brother Edward.
Cremation has taken place and Helen will be laid to rest with her parents at St. Wolodymyr & St. Olha Cemetery, Courtice.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday March 19th 2023, at the age of 62.
Loving best friend of Andrew Finley.
Beloved Mom of Ashley, Andrea, Dennis, Shaun, and Brian.
Cherished grandma of Tobias, Autumn, Luca, Niklaus, Gavin, Jasmine and 4 other grandchildren. Great grandma of Nevaeh.
Special best friend-sister of Lisa Sivell. Helen will also be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her extended family and many dear friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Wednesday March 29th at 2pm.

Peacefully at Bowmanville Hospital with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Alfred Connolly of 55 years.
Dear mother to Francis, Shelley (Tim) and Shawn.
Also survived by her sister Joan Murphy of Vernon River, PEI and brother David MacNeill of Burlington, ON.
Sister in law to Marie Vessey of Iona, PEI, Dianne Connolly of Montague, PEI and Vincent & Emily Connolly of Oshawa, ON as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Alfred MacNeill, Charles MacNeill and Francis MacNeill.
Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Thursday March 23rd from 6 – 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. JOSEPH’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, on Friday March 24th at 11 am. Cremation with private interment at a later date.

Our much loved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, affectionately known as Mama, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023 in her 95th year.
Helen was born in Nyirbeltek, Szabolcs, Hungary on April 14, 1928 and moved to Toronto with her family in 1932.
Helen was the daughter of the late John and Helen Penyige.
Predeceased by her husband Joseph
“Sid”, her youngest daughter Janet, her grandson Kyle, her brother John and her sister-in-law Marilyn.
She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline (Don), grandchildren Joseph (Carrie), Jasmine (Cole), James and great-grandchildren Nex and Xavier.
The family is greatful for the excellent care she received at Bay Ridges Long-Term-Care Home in Pickering in the last part of her life.
On Thursday March 23rd, 2023 there will be a visitation at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering from 10 to 11 am. A funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral chapel,

Helen went home to be with her Lord in her 90th year.
Loving wife of Fred for 68 wonderful years.
Devoted mother of Don (Heather), Cathy (Jim) Phoenix, Rose (Neil) Evans, Murray (Carolyn) and Lori (Steven) Robinson. Precious grandmother to 16 grandchildren and great grandmother to 26.
Caring sister of Donna (Rodney) Baker. Helen is predeceased by her parents Stuart and Irene Ball and brother Lloyd (Mary) Ball.
Helen worked as a teacher and was a dedicated church organist for 40 years.
She was whole heartedly committed to God’s service, her family and friends and will be remembered by her exceptional hospitality.
The Wilson family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the extended family and friends who have upheld them with love and support.

Service for Helen will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 1p.m. with visitation beginning at 11a.m. Immediately following the service a reception will be held. Helen will be laid to rest at the Foster Memorial Cemetery.

Peacefully at home, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, after a brief illness, at the age of 86.
Predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Susan; his parents, Margaret and James; and brothers, William and Paul.
Beloved father of Faye (Mario), Jane, Elizabeth (Grant) and Ann (Don); and cherished G-Dad of Matt (Jayme), Andrew, Emily, Nick, Mike, Katy, Daniel, Sarah and Isaac.
He was a kind and gentle man who touched everyone he knew, and he will be deeply missed by all.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the age of 89, Helen passed peacefully at Oak Ridges Hospice.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Feeney and loving mother of Brian, Karen and her husband Marjan Wozny.
She was looked up to by her grandchildren; Michael (Julia), Emily (Derek), Monique (William) and Thomas (Nicole) and she was a proud great-grandma to Camryn and Brody.
She was a sister of Joseph (Doreen), Pat, Edmund (Jean), Margaret (Walter), Beatrice (Tommy), Theresa (Carl), and Carmel (Joe).
Helen loved going for long walks, enjoyed golfing and skiing, a cup of very hot tea and completing jigsaw puzzles in her spare time.
Helen was the sunshine in everyone's lives and her beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at a later date at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Oshawa.
