(May 7, 1942 - July 24, 2020)Ian passed away peacefully aboard the “Peace Train”, surrounded by his adoring family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa from complications of Parkinson’s which he courageously battled for 8 years. Ian was a kind soul with a gentle smile and will be forever missed.He leaves behind his loving wife Sue Mclean (Kyle) of 55 years whom he shared his remarkable life with.Together they had three wonderful daughters, Tracy, Joelle (Keith), Erin (Daryl).Proud and very involved Poppa to Leah, Mackenzie and Riley, Danielle and Bailey. He took great pride in all their accomplishments. Dear brother of Diane, Anna, Paul and Michael.Lovingly remembered by his brother in law Mike Kyle and his nephew Jason Kyle whom he shared his passion for all things sport including his love for the EFL and his team The Tottenham Hotspur.Predeceased by his adoring Mum, Ivy Zrichuk and Father, Stanley McLean (England – 1943 RAF WW2) Predeceased by dear Nana Helen (Kyle) He will be sadly missed by his Standard Poodle Nova.Ian was a respected and well-loved Teacher and Principal with the Scarborough Board and the DDSB for over 35 yearsA consummate member of the “Monday Knights” basketball guys for 30 years where he was affectionately known as “I”. Ian was a lifelong fitness advocate, competing in triathlons, marathons, and discovering his passion for cycling where he was a member of the Oshawa Cycling Club. He participated in the Rideau Lake Cycle Tour for many years. His cycling adventures took him touring England, Holland, Gaspe Bay Peninsula, and Germany where he visited his Father’s grave site. In his off season, Ian enjoyed cross country skiing and taught at Dagmar as well as participated in the Gatineau Loppet for many years.After retirement, he found his love for golf and joined the “Phata Morgana” boys along with his lifelong university buddies “Apps” and “Heim”. Special thanks to Lakeridge Health (8G nurses), Palliative floor nurses, and special appreciation to nurses Anna, Ashley and Dr. K. Graham for your compassion and support. Memorial donations to the Lakeridge Health Foundation-Palliative Care, or OVC Pet Trust Guelph University. Was called home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 13, 2020, while surrounded by the love of her family.After 30 years she is now reunited with her patient soulmate and best friend, Chauncey Tuck.ris will be welcomed by her loved ones that went before her; her mother and father, Elizabeth and Jack Cooper; brothers Leonard, Sidney and John; sister Dorothy; sons Glenn (Susanne) and Byron (Karen); and granddaughter Teegan. Iris is survived by her children Kimberley (Anthony), Andrea (Larry), Patricia (Mike), Carol (predeceased Ron), Wendy (Tony) and Dale (predeceased Leny). She was the inspirational and tender-loving Nana to her grandchildren Brooke, Kyle, Lesley, Melanie, Brett, Kelly, Josh, Brittney, Cory, Cathy, Christine, Greg, Mark, Stephen, Tanya, Jason, Lawrence and Deborah; and numerous great-grandchildren.Iris was born on March 20, 1929 in London, England. She began her nursing career in 1946 of which took her to various hospitals throughout England. After immigrating to Canada in 1955 she continued her nursing career at Muskoka Sanatorium where she met her then patient, Chauncey and his four children. The two were later married in 1956 and added four more children to their family.We wish to thank the caring staff at Douglas Crossing Retirement Community who so lovingly cared for ‘Nana’ and quickly became her second family, especially the staff on the second floor; and a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Dhar Doobay. It is with profound sadness we announce our beloved Mother, Irene Hodder (nee Paterson) passed away at Scarborough Hospital on Tuesday June 16th, 2020 in her 87th year.She battled Lewy Body Dementia Disease for more than a decade. We take great comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and has been reunited with our late father, Robert (Bob) Hodder. Irene was a strong independent woman who enjoyed her working days at various organizations and had many good friends over the years. She also volunteered at Red Cross for a number of years. She leaves behind her daughter Sharon, son John (Nancy) and will be sorely missed by her two grandsons Graham and Colin.Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Ingrid passed away peacefully on May 12, 2020 at the age of 80 at the Extendicare Rouge Valley in Scarborough.Born in Dusseldorf, Germany on January 13, 1940, Ingrid emigrated to Canada with her family to Toronto where she later met her future husband George.At the age of 14, Ingrid was one of Toronto's fastest sprinters in her age category. A dedicated, loving and caring mother and wife, Ingrid and George enjoyed many well-deserved vacations to the south after the children were raised.Ingrid is survived by husband George, sister Ellen, brother Klaus, and her three children, George, Bruce and Brian. Grandmother to Tammy, Ashley, Scott, Deanna, Daniel and Cameron and great grandmother to Carter and Owen. Predeceased by grandson Christopher.She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends, whom she truly loved and valued.A celebration of her life will be planned for a later date.The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers for their outstanding care and compassion for Ingrid over the years.

She was born in Poland in 1924, to a large and loving family.Irena was a proud member of St. Hedwig’s Church and had a very strong and unwavering faith.She was a caring and religious woman with a determination that helped her enjoy a long and joyful life.Irena dedicated her life to caring for her family, loved her daughters and adored her grandchildren. Irena was predeceased by her loving husband Peter in 2006, after 46 years of marriage.They enjoyed many years of happiness together and made many great memories. Beloved mother of Elizabeth Wojcik and her husband Joe and Barb Malec-Lambert and her husband John.She loved her children and their spouses immensely. Loving and proud Babcia of Caroline(Daniel), Joanna(Nick), Alicia & Eric.The joy her grandchildren brought her was beyond words. Irena will be lovingly remembered by all of her family and friends in Canada and Poland. She had a very kind heart and a generous spirit.She enjoyed gardening, singing and loved spending time with her family. She was a great cook, especially of Polish dishes.She had a long rewarding life, filled with love, spirituality, laughter and song. She was well known throughout Hillsdale as the singer. Many staff and residents often mentioned how very heartwarming her singing was.Although she only spent five months at Hillsdale Terraces, she felt the warmth and caring of the staff and she touched the hearts of many of her caregivers.We as the family are truly grateful for the exceptional care she received at Hillsdale Terraces. God had gained a beautiful angel and we know she will watch over her entire family.We will forever hold our dear mother in our hearts. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Thornton Cemetery.Prayers will be said by the graveside with the Parish Priest from St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church. Ileene leaves behind her loving children Steve (Mary), Bob (Flo) and Scott (Yu-Wei).Beloved Grandma to Kristy, Kevin, Kaitlyn (Ryan), Tom (Allison), Tyler and Jason. Great Grandma to Alyssa, Lucas, Tyler, Paisleigh, Lily, Blake and Carter.Ileene will also be missed by her large extended family and numerous friends. A special thank-you also to Tom Calow for all his love and support over the past years.Ileene, known for her contagious smile and quiet demeanor, was a long time resident of Ajax, and spent many years volunteering at Ajax-Pickering Hospital.Ileene was also known to tirelessly support the activities and events of her sons, whether in good or bad times, throughout her entire life.
