Piera Valerio
July 21, 1963 - January 19, 2023
Passed away peacefully on Thursday January 19th, 2023, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, with her loving husband Sam by her side after a courageous 2-year battle with lung cancer, at the age of 59.
Piera fought right to the very end but is now at peace with her beloved son Michael, who passed away in 2006.
She will be greatly missed by her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nephews, nieces, and her large extended family and many friends in Canada and Italy.
Visitation will be held at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME on Monday January 23rd from 6p.m. until 8p.m. with a rosary service at 7pm. Funeral Mass to be held at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Whitby on Tuesday January 24th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date in Italy.
Memorial donations are greatly appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

JUNE 5, 1929 – JANUARY 17, 2023
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, in his 94th year.
Predeceased by his dearly loved wife Catherine.
Loving father of James (Annette) and Michael (Lori).
Cherished Grampa Jeepers/Gramps of Patrick (Ashley), Samantha, Michael (Colleen) and Matthew.
Dear brother of Oliver (Kathleen), and predeceased by Nan, Pat John, James, survived by sister-in-law Shirley.
He will be missed by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Peter will be remembered as a 30 year employee to the East York Board of Education; a 50 year member of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Scarborough and a great neighbor to those on Perivale Crescent.
He was a proud man who believed in family, faith and work. Peter enjoyed watching the Leafs, while having a few warm Labatts 50 and playing the Lottery. Shortly before moving to Whitby, Peter was extremely proud of winning a local award for his lawn and gardens.
For the last 20 plus years Peter is remembered for being a fixture at Whitby Minor Hockey, Lacrosse and Soccer games. His greatest pleasure in his senior years was watching all 4 of his grandkids play sports. “Dad – Grandpa thank you for everything, we will miss you”.
“Mom has put the kettle on”. Special thanks to the staff at Pringle Creek, PSWs Danita, Dianna and Deborah and the nurses at Oshawa General G5 unit.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, January 28th from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Peacefully at his residence, with his family by his side, on Friday January 13, 2023 in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband of Patricia for 67 years.

Loving Mother of Francis & Adam Kiernicki, Grandmother of Julian Kiernicki and dear sister of Dennis Camm (and Moria).

Patricia grew up in Oakville and later moved to Oshawa.

Passed away suddenly on January 9th 2023 at the age of 69.
Survived by her husband Frank.

Pauline (Anderson) Kydd
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Kydd on January 5, 2023 in her 99th year, with her family at her side.
Predeceased by her husband of 59 years Gordon (2004).
Lovingly survived by her son Robin (Manon).
Also survived by her sisters-in-law Mary Kydd and Lillian Anderson, brother-in-law Art Sawchuck and many caring nieces and nephews.
Pauline was born to parents Katy and Steven Anderson in Alberta. Pauline was the second of 7 children (all predeceased): Annie, Gregory, Andrew, Emma, David and Ella.
Pauline has lost three sisters-in-law who were very important to her.
Pauline enjoyed volunteering for the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Auxiliary for many years. Pauline treasured her relationships with family and friends, especially her best friend Judy Stewart who was always there when she needed her.
A very special thank you to Dr. Carly Jensen and the wonderful staff at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital for their compassionate care.
Visitation will take place at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Box 388, Uxbridge, on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow the service.

Born to parents John Stewart Sr. and Ellen McCafferty Stewart Sr. on December 20th, 1956 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Paul was known for being a great tradesman, leader, supervisor, pool player and loving father of Nicole, Christopher, and Carlie and most recently a proud grandfather of baby Hugh.
Beloved spouse of Linda Stewart.

An adored uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
