Jean Bryans passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estates at the age of 96. She was the loving wife of 68 years to the late William Bryans (2021) and a much-loved mother to Jeanie Wilkinson (Wayne), Donnie Bryans (Colleen), Bonnie Martin, and Jimmie Bryans (Sue). Jean was predeceased by her sons, Jerry and Roly, and is fondly remembered by daughters-in-law Debbie and Rowena.

She was a cherished grandmother to Teri-Ann, (late Tammy), Christopher (Shannon), Meghann (Nick), Sara, Ian, Carrie (Jamie), Jennifer, Eric, Emily, Teresa (Mike), Melissa, Ryan, and Liam, and a great-grandmother to Brianna, Dustin, Ashton, Azzurelee, Lexi, and Odin. Jean is also predeceased by her sisters Helen, Edna, Eileen, and Dorothy, and will be warmly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N., Whitby, on Tuesday, November 12th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Groveside Cemetery in Brooklin.

It is with great sadness that the family of Denise Elizabeth Reid announces her passing on October 30, 2024, at the age of 59. Denise passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa, surrounded by her loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents Patricia Foster and Buddy Fallows, and by her grandparents Doris and Earl Clark, who lovingly raised her. She was also predeceased by her sisters Joan and Judy; her brothers Douglas, Edward, Brian, and Ross; her brothers-in-law Dennis and Andy; and her cousin Cathy.

Denise leaves behind her cherished daughters Michelle (Greig), Amanda (Ryan), Jackie, and Jennifer (Brad), as well as her stepdaughters Kim and Amy. She was a devoted grandmother to Bradley, Nicholas, Grace, Cassandra, Rachel, Elizabeth, Owen, Sara, Liam, Landon, Mackenzie, Rebecca, Dawson, and Oliver, whom she loved with all her heart.

Denise is also mourned by her stepmother Janet; her sisters Pamela, Gisela (Sean), Cindy, Charlene (Mike), Christine, Carolyn, and Sandy; her brother Jeff; and her stepsiblings Adam and Simone. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

A visitation and service to celebrate Denise’s life will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, with the date and time to be determined. Details will be shared with family and friends in due course.

Loving grandmother of Shawna, Dylan, Megan, Amber, and Alisha, and great-grandmother of Grayson and Amelia. Dear sister of Joan (Harold), George (Jean), Beryl (Tom), Donny (Sheila), and the late Beverly.

Carole was born in Trinity, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland, where she and Patrick raised their family. In 2001, they moved to Oshawa. Carole and Patrick were inseparable; where you saw one, you saw the other.

As per her wishes, cremation will take place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Durham Region.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Angus Noel Willar, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who passed away on November 2, 2024, at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering. Born on June 17, 1934, in Grand Falls, Newfoundland and Labrador, Angus leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work that will be cherished by his family and friends.

Angus married Eileen, the love of his life, in 1956, beginning a partnership that would last until her passing in 2012. Together, they raised four children, building a close-knit family that remained at the heart of his life.

Over his 30-year career, Angus transitioned from sales to owning an ice cream and dairy company, making his home a favorite spot for family and friends. Known for his work ethic and warmth, he earned respect and friendship in the business community. Family memories were made in Corner Brook, NL, where Angus introduced his children to skating, skiing, and summers by the lake. His love for woodworking flourished in retirement, and he enjoyed winters in Florida, balancing time on the golf course and his boat.

In Kingston, Angus found community at The Anglican Parish of Christ Church Cataraqui, where he volunteered and made lasting friendships. He will be remembered for his kindness, charm, and devotion to his family.

Angus will be dearly missed by his children, Glenn (Sheila), Jeffrey (Susan), Paul (Catherine), and Cathy (David); his grandchildren, Kristen (Ben), Jamie (Kylee), Josh (Hannah), Christopher, Kylie, Lora, Allie, and Megan; his great-grandchildren, Thomas and William; and his sisters Ruth and Barbara (Bob). He was predeceased by his parents, Malcolm and Mildred, in-laws Reg, Randolf, Myrtle, Vera, and companion Martha.

A private family interment and celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Adored Babcia of Andrew, Matthew, Kathryn, and Stephanie, and proud Prababcia of Ozzy and Wells. Predeceased by her siblings in Poland: Stanislaw Gorczynski, Maksmylian Gorczynski, and Danuta Bunka. Lovingly remembered by her family in Poland.

Jozefa immigrated to Canada in 1959 but always missed her beloved Poland and the family and friends she left behind. She was devoted to her faith, the Catholic Church, and the Polish community in Oshawa. Jozefa loved to sing and was a dedicated choir member at St. Hedwig’s Church, as well as an active member of the church’s Rosary Society. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who took pride in her family, loved cooking, and spent countless hours tending to her beautiful perennial garden.

Please join with the family at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Wednesday, November 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for visitation. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Hedwig’s Polish Catholic Church on Thursday, November 7, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

He was a cherished father to Melissa (John) and Rob (Josie), and a loving grandad to Michael, Amanda (Kyle), Kaitlynne (Dan), and Nicole (Ryan). Bob was also a proud great-grandfather to Aubree, Lincoln, Ellie, and Dawson. He will be greatly missed by his beloved furbaby, Lily. He was the dear son of the late Albert and Angela Amey and is survived by his sisters Judy and Elizabeth, predeceased by his sister Dorothy. Bob will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends.

Bob dedicated 35 years to the Oshawa Fire Department and spent countless hours working alongside his father Bert at the family restaurant, The Jolly Friar. In 1977, he and his father started a dairy distribution business, which he continued to run with his son Rob until his passing.

Predeceased by his parents Vince and Nora Lynch (née Cassidy) and all of his 11 siblings, Joe was the last of his generation. He is survived by brother-in-law Larry Plews and wife Mary-Anne, and sister-in-law Maureen Cruickshank and husband Elmer. Joe will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

Joe took pride in farming, tending to his hay and cattle, and cherished his years working for General Motors. A true Canadian at heart, he appreciated everything made in Canada. Known for his storytelling and quick wit, Joe supported his grandchildren in all their pursuits and never missed a hockey game. A longstanding member of the Friendship Group, Joe was a source of strength and wisdom to his family and community.
