Passed away on Wednesday February 12, 2020 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, at the age of 81. At Norma’s request, a private burial was held at the Uxbridge Cemetery.

April 19, 1944 - January 6, 2020Passed peacefully in her sleep at Ajax Hospital in her 76th year after a lifelong battle with Myotonic Dystrophy.Daughter of Ann Watson, she was predeceased by son Jeffrey and is sadly missed by husband David and son Bryan.She will be long remembered by the Watson and Masters family diaspora.Noreen was born in Toronto, attended Westwood Junior High, East York Collegiate, and Ryerson Polytechnic Institute to spend a career teaching at East York Collegiate and community volunteering, always adding to a long lasting list of loyal friends.Family and friends can pay their respects at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a memorial service in the chapel from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Nicanor ‘Nick’ Cabahug Giocada - Succumbed to complications from his over 20 year old spinal cord injury on December 1st, 2019 at age 65 in SHN Centenary Hospital in Toronto.He will be forever remembered by his wife of more than 34 years and best friend, Leonina (nee Sicat); his pride, joy and loving sons Godfrey and Genesis; daughter-in-law Tiina (nee Lehto); beloved 5 sisters based in the Philippines - Nancy, Norma, Nida, Nilda and Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews; grand nephews and grand nieces; and several extended family members and lots of caring friends. Nick will be fondly remembered for his indomitable spirit which encouraged his family and friends to persist in the face of many struggles.He thrived on the exchange of interesting and thought provoking ideas which demonstrated his incisive look on issues. He was known for his love of outdoor activities such as fishing, picnics, long drives, etc. His hobbies were playing guitar and singing (with a melodic voice), photography & photo editing.Despite having been on a wheelchair for more than 20 years and being faced with accessibility issues, he was not deterred from travelling to the places he loved.He had tirelessly volunteered at Lyndhurst Toronto Rehab’s Peer Support Group, Toronto Western General’s spinal cord research program, and the Toronto Transit Commission accessibility program.Visitation at McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, on December 8, 2019, at 5:00 PM - 9:00 PMFuneral Mass at St. Joseph's Parish, 200 Morrish Road, Scarborough ON M1C 1E8, on December 9, 2019, at 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM.
