Passed away peacefully on April 11, 2017 in the arms of her family at the Wynfield Long Term Care, Oshawa at the age of 92.Greatly missed and beloved mother of Malcolm. Much loved Grannie of Erin (Paul) Hallett, Christopher (Mihaela) and Ryan.Dearest Great Grannie to Ethan (Christine), Benjamin, Naomi and Noah.Predeceased by her dear husband Archie, in 1970 as well as her parents William and Isabella McCraw and 8 siblings.A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7 Pethick Street (SW corner of Hwy 57 and 2) on Tuesday April 25th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour before. A private interment at Prospect Cemetery, Toronto will be held at a later date.Deepest thanks to all the staff at the Chartwell-Wynfield Long Term Care for their kindness and care through the last two and a half years to our dear “Izzy”. Passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 in her 86th year.Irene was predeceased by her loving husband Lutz (2007), caring mother of Gisela (Henry) Fitz (Sherry) and Ryan. She had siblings in Ireland including brothers John (Anna), sister Winnie(Gerry), and brother Lawrence(Sheila) and their children and grandchildren mainly residing in Fintona, Co. Tyrone Northern Ireland. She was predeceased by brother Pat (Sybil) 2016 and Eamon (Julia) 2001.Family in GTA including Kurt (Terry), Gerhard (Ingrid), Henry (Margrid) ,Gudrun (Willi) and the rest of the family.We are thankful to have had her as a wonderful loving mother, caring wife, and very giving generous personwho will always be remembered by everyone that knew and loved her. Many thanks to all her friends , nurses that she worked with at OGH, friends at the CWL at the St. Joseph Worker Parish.Please make all donations in lieu of gifts and flowers to the Alzheimers Society of Canada. The church mass memorial will be held at St. Joseph of the Worker Parish at 1100 Mary St N. in Oshawa at the corner of Mary and Beatrice Streets. Mass service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 30th at the church with interment to follow at Catholic Resurrection Cemetery in Whitby with a gathering to follow at the church afterwards.Thank you to all who have her in their prayers and thoughts.Thanks to all who have assisted and helped the family at this difficult time.

(September 11, 1921 - March 1, 2017) - Peacefully in her sleep at Regency Manor in Port Hope.Devoted husband to the late William J. Antliff (1922-2009), loving mother to Barbara (Liam O'Kane) and the late Marilyn (Don Ambrose and Linda Page.Nanna to Gregory, Derek (Mirella & Julian), Scott (Amanda), Steven (Jay), Shauna (David), and Michael (Ivy); Great-Nanna to Nicholas, Isabel, Alexandretta, Connor, Wilson, and Adam; and caring neighbour and friend to countless people over the years especially in the North York neighbourhood she called home for over 60 years and the cottage community at Sturgeon Bay.Remembered for her warm smile, masterful baking, kind heart, snap of the cards while playing cribbage, and a genuine affection for all she met, she will be greatly missed although the entire family is content with the fact she is now at peace and back with her darling Bill playing accordion while she tap dances amongst the clouds.The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Amica at Whitby and Regency Manor in Port Hope for making her final years on this earth as pleasant and comfortable as this wonderful woman deserved.Plans for a private family celebration of Irene's life will be determined at a later date.Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario www.alzheimer.ca would be appreciated.
