40 years in the music industry for Polygram and Universal Music as the Production Manager, passed away at his home on Friday, December 1, 2023, at the age of 79.
Loved husband and best friend of Monique Lebel; loved stepfather of Cedric Denjean (Lydie) of Brittany, France.
Grandfather of Julien and Emilie. Brother of Paul and the late Peter and Susan.
Predeceased by his parents, Wilbur Tate and Anne (Bell). Ian will always be loved and in our hearts.
Friends fondly remember his stubbornness, his ability to laugh at himself, his love of music, the Toronto Raptors, and mostly his greatest love for his wife, Monique Lebel – who he now joins to be reunited in eternal life together.

Ian McIsaac, a dedicated advocate for working-class rights and a beloved family man, passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday December 5, 2023 at the age of 74.
He is now reunited with his loving wife, Mary, whom he missed dearly since 2001, his brother Walter (2001) and his sister, Christine (1986).
Ian is survived by his sister, Janet Carruthers, his sister-in-law, Irene McIsaac and his four children: Tracy (Eric), Colin (Heather), Suzanne (Frank) and Mary (Peter).
His legacy lives on through his nine grandchildren: Cameron, Andrew, Iain, Thomas, Nicholas, Connor, Theo, Kate and Lily. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 17, 1949, to Elizabeth Scott and Walter McIsaac, Ian’s early passion for improving the lives of working-class people led him to Toronto, Canada in 1969.
Ian was a loving family man, married to Mary for 29 years, before her untimely death. He was a proud Father, a doting Grandfather, strong friend, and a loyal colleague. He adored his favourite football team, the great Glasgow Rangers FC, win or lose.
Ian will be lovingly remembered by his extended family, friends, and those that had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory continue to inspire those he touched.
Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, Oshawa on Friday December 8th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday December 9th at 11:00am.

Irvin passed on Monday, after a long battle with Parkinson's, and is now at peace and with God.
He leaves behind his loving and adoring wife Helen, and daughters, Linda, Stella, Gloria, Carol, and late son Stephen.
Granddaughters Allison, Jessa, and Stella Maria, as well as late grandson Glen, and great grandchildren Bronwyn and Jack. Irvin spent over 40 years dedicating his career to State Farm Insurance in Canada, and operated his own agency, after emigrating from England to Canada with the family in 1970.
He was a fierce advocate for education and adventure. He was a man of few words, and when he spoke, his words would weigh in.
We will remember him with the utmost joy and love in our hearts, and fond memories that we can all look back on with respect, honor, gratitude, and adoration. We love you Papa.

Surrounded by his loving family, Ian passed away on Wednesday September 13th, 2023 at the age of 68 years.
Much loved husband of Karen, they were just about to celebrate their 41st anniversary.
Proud dad to Darra (Sheldon) Osmond and Shae (Evan) Drake.
Adoring Papa to Isla and Greer. Ian will be missed by his brothers Gordon (Chantal) and Derek, in-laws Susan Dunklin (Paul Million) and Lori (Mike) MacRae as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Ian loved his family regardless of extension and he will be greatly missed by Steve Nelson (Ben and Natalie) and Jackie (Norm) Murphy (Taylor and Dillon).
Ian and his best friend, Piko shared an incredible bond, truly like brothers and he will be sadly missed.
From his co-workers to the racing community, he was loved in all facets of his life and will be missed by many. Take that victory lap Ian, you deserve one last ride.
A Celebration of Ian’s life will be held at one of his favourite places, Grand Prix Event Centre at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Saturday September 30th from 3 – 8 pm.

Passed away at Lakeview Manor at the age of 87.
He leaves behind his loving wife Caroline Furniss of 59 years.
His children Arthur Furniss, William Furniss (Vestine), Norman Furniss (Elaine) Melody ( Brent), Paul Furniss (pre-deceased Vessela).
His thirteen grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Jessica, Holly, Michael, Christopher, Elizabeth, Amanda, Joshua, Migelle, Noah, Jenica, Ira, Eric, and Devon.
Nine great-grandchildren. His loving siblings, Herbert Furniss (Audry), Mary Cottrell (pre-deceased Vern), Brenda Ramshaw (pre-deceased Tom).
He was born at the farm house February 29, 1936 to Harry and Elizabeth Furniss where he farmed with his father. Ira was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
He was an honorable man he loved to curl and golf. All who knew him liked him. He had many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. We will miss him a lot.
His wishes are to be cremated, there will be a private family service at a later date.
His two special sister-in-law’s Mary Lou Nelson and Bobbie Carr who have always cared and loved him.
A special thank you to all who took wonderful care of a wonderful man at Lakeview Manor.
