Joseph Mytil passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024. He will be remembered for the love and joy he brought to his family and friends.
A viewing will take place at McEachnie Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens at 12:15 PM.

Monica Moore
October 10, 1946 – October 16, 2024
Monica Moore passed peacefully at home with her husband by her side on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Loving wife of 49 years to Oswald Moore. Sister to Winston Calender of Barbados and Pamelia Grimes of Canada, and predeceased by her brother Milan Walrond. Aunt to Nicole Barrett, Ian Grimes, and Sameera Walrond. Great-aunt to Shante, Jenai, Jasmin, Amiah, Saffiyah, and Donte. Monica will also be fondly remembered by close friends Vevinne Palmer, Carmen Gonzales, and Cynthia Johnson.
Visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will commence at 12:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Cemetery. After the Burial, friends are welcome to return to the Funeral Home Lounge for refreshments and fellowship.

Fred Gunter Meinecke
1947 - October 11, 2024
Fred Meinecke, at the age of 77, departed this life peacefully on October 11, 2024, surrounded by his daughters. He has now been reunited with his beloved wife, Agnes Krygsman (deceased October 2023).
Fred was a devoted father to Wendi-Lyn Meinecke and Christine Marie Lorusso (Tom), and cherished Grandpa to Leo, Christian, and Victoria. Fred was a loving brother to his sister Ellen and a caring Uncle to Kevin and Ralph. His absence will be profoundly felt by many friends and extended family, to whom he was affectionately known as Opa and Uncle Fred.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, with words of remembrance to be shared at 7:00 pm. A private family interment for Fred will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at his final resting place, Twelve Mile Cemetery in Minden, Ontario.

Donald Ralph Meikle
October 22, 1927 - October 12, 2024
Born on October 22nd, 1927, at home in Toronto, Ontario, Donald Ralph Meikle lived a full and vibrant life. He passed away peacefully on October 12th, 2024, just shy of his 97th birthday. Don was predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty Louise (Snider), his parents, Roy and Ethel, and his brothers, Harold and Gordon. He leaves behind his daughters, Kathleen and Nancy, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Robert Schnurr, Brittany (Schnurr) Ykema, and Carina Mousseau.
Don was a man of many passions, including magic, stamp and coin collecting, sports, cards, and puzzles. His love for bowling and pool lasted well into his 90s. An active member of the Royal Canadian Legion~ Mount Dennis Branch #31 since 2000, Don also carried forward his family’s legacy with the Masons through his father, Roy. A talented poet and actor, Don was involved with the “Couples Club” at Willowdale United Church and was a self-taught enthusiast in various disciplines such as psychology and holistic health.
His career spanned 34 years at Suncor, where he rose to the position of Corporate Manager, Pension Administration before retiring in 1986. He later served as a Court Registrar for the Supreme Court of Canada, adding another chapter to his diverse and accomplished life. Don was proud to have completed everything on his Bucket List and was content with the life he lived.
A private family cemetery service will be held later this month. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s name can be made to Covenant House, Toronto, or a charity of your choice.

Marion Ada May
November 28, 1926 – October 8, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion Ada May (née Bowles) on October 8, 2024, at the age of 97. Marion was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charlie, and her brother, William Bowles.
Marion is survived by her son Stephen (Joanne) and daughter Sherry Mary Axton (Nigel), as well as her grandchildren, Derek (Victoria) and Michael (Kirsten). She will be fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren Bronwynn, Emersyn, Sawyer, and Audrey. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hillsdale Terraces LTC for their compassionate care and support.
A visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 1:30 pm.

After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ellen Roseanne Murchie.
Ellen brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with her kind heart and radiant smile. The depth of love and happiness she shared will forever remain in our hearts.
Ellen is survived by her husband Keith, her four children Margaret, Lori, Michael, and Jonathan. She also leaves behind her 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, her mother Pauline, and her two siblings Diane and Paul, along with many other beloved extended family members.
A service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Newcastle Funeral Home. A memorial visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a funeral service and reception.

Passed away on Friday September 20, 2024 at the age of 63 years. Predeceased by her parents Jeff and Terry Michie. Loving mother of Jennifer and Cheyanne. Cherished grandmother of Abigail and Matthew. Dear sister of Carol, David and Daniel.
A published poet in her youth, she was a talented young writer. She loved music and old movies. When asked about funeral services she might want she only asked that we write “I told you I was sick” She could always crack a joke.
She was an amazing mother who was always there when we needed her the most. Offering support, sarcasm, and love. She will always be remembered for her strength, resilience and for her ability to make anybody laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
