(September 16th, 1930 - December 18th, 2020)Elsie May Bongard took her final breath on Friday December 18th, 2020.Despite her infinite love of candy and chocolate bars, she lived to the tender age of 90.She leaves behind her loving family and a legacy of kindness.Elsie May was born to Robert and Vida McDonald in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on September 16th, 1930.She met her late husband James Gordon Bongard in Toronto while working as a dental hygienist. They had their beloved daughter Tracy and led an adventurous life full of friendships that lasted a lifetime. They spent Thirty-Seven wonderful years together.Elsa leaves behind her loving and caring daughter and son in law, Tracy and Henry Dunn. She will be greatly missed by her granddaughter Jenna Dunn (Lori Dunn) and great grandson August Dunn. Grams “GG” was a very important part of their lives.Elsa was predeceased by her beloved brothers and sister-in-law, David McDonald (Margaret), Robert McDonald and Bruce McDonald. She leaves behind her sisters in law Merle McDonald and Rose McDonald, whom she loved dearly.Elsa will be fondly remembered by everyone she met. Tim was the loving husband of Jane Flett and caring father of Jeffrey Reilly and his wife Susan Son. He was the adoring papa of Fynn and Naya. He is remembered fondly by Isabell and Doug Scott and their family.Tim was involved in the film industry for many years, and was a long-time member of IATSE 873 and Past President of IATSE 411. Most recently he and Jane operated It’s A Wrap Mobile Rentals in the industry. Tim and Jane enjoyed travelling, especially cruising, spending some winter months in Florida and relaxing in the summer at the cottage on Sturgeon Lake.Tim was generous and caring and his family is devastated by this loss. Cherished Nana of 18 grandchildren. Adored "G’nana" of 28 great-grandchildren.She also had one great-great-grandchild. Mum was preceded in death by husband Thomas (Tommy) and her sister Greta and brother Bill.An incredibly strong, determined and fiercely independent matriarch, Mum took great pride in her family and especially loved to get visits from the grandkids.Although our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Mum is at peace.
