April 23, 1948 - January 23, 2020 Yvonne Jeanne Sadler, born April 23rd, 1948, passed away peacefully at the age of 71 on January 23rd, 2020.The loving wife of 49 years to Derek.Devoted mother to Ryan and Todd.Cherished grandmother to Trey, Griffin, Reese, Keenan and Skyler. Yvonne enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow up with a love of sports.She was their biggest fan, in addition to being an avid tennis player herself. Mass will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday January 29th at the Church of the Holy Redeemer (796 Eyer Drive, Pickering).Following which, the burial will take place at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens (541 Taunton Road West, Ajax).In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Yvonne was born and raised in Stratford, ON where she attended Loretto Academy moving to Newcastle in 1969 and then to Peterborough in 2017.She joined her Lord and Savior peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Sherbrooke Heights in Peterborough in her 82nd year.Beloved wife of 61 years to Lyle Bender.Loving mother of Darolyn (the late Philip) Jones of Bethany, Delores Bender of London, and David Anthony (Tony) Bender of Deep River.Loved grandmother of Jeremy (Justina) Jones, Melody (Ryan) Welburn, Crystal (Joe) Ayotte, Joshua (Charlene) Hone, Matthew Hone, Christopher (Laura) Hone and Bryce Bender. Lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren Cowen, Zoey, Hannah, Noah, Paisley, Emily, Avery, Levi, Lorelai, Teagan and Deaglan.Cherished aunt of nieces and their families.Predeceased by her brother William (Bill) Longeway and sister-in-law Margaret Landers. Yvonne was a long time active member of Newcastle Fellowship Church.A visitation will be held at the Newcastle Funeral Home, on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 2 – 4 p.m. Funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. The funeral service will be officiated by her brother-in-law Rev. It is with immense sadness that we announce that Yvonne passed away suddenly at home in Whitby on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, in her 72nd year.After some health issues over the past few years, she had been strong and doing well, just having gone on a lovely family vacation, and her passing was unexpected. Born in Belleville, Yvonne grew up in Batawa and Trenton, with a few years of family life spent also in Montreal.Yvonne is predeceased by her loving parents, Ron (Roland) and Jean Crevier. She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart Dennis in 1970, and together they had an incredible 41 years of marriage, living the majority of their life in Bowmanville. She was devoted to her family and her daughter Jessica, and after Dennis passed away in 2011, she moved to Whitby to be closer to Jessica and her son-in-law Chris, and her grandsons Tait and Charlie. She loved her grandsons fiercely, and they her. She was always there for her family, always willing to jump in and participate, always caring, and always so thoughtful and selfless. She and her daughter Jessica were extremely close, supporting each other.Tait and Charlie will miss all their special rituals with their Ma, especially their weekly sleepovers. This was cherished time for both Yvonne and her grandsons.Yvonne was treasured by her brother Rick Crevier, and nieces Alicia and Tanya, who often traveled and visited from Alberta. She will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law Sharon Crevier.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Yves Faubert died peacefully at home on June 28 at the age of 55.Yves was born in Sudbury on May 18, 1963 and grew up in Dowling, Ontario.Throughout his life, he inspired many students as a teacher of both music and literature.Yves showed his love by creating beautiful meals for family and friends and embraced his artistry by creating and performing music with friends in his recording studio, appreciating French literature, and more recently, expressing himself through his poetry.Yves is survived by his parents Roma and Jacqueline Faubert of Sudbury, brother Gilles of Sudbury and sister Ginette (Dan Atkins) of London, by his three children: Alexandre (Sacha) Faubert of Oshawa and Thierry Faubert of Lake Louise, and Ella Dooley-Faubert of Oshawa, and by many friends. His children were his pride and joy.
