Devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Wilma (nee Toms) passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Bowmanville, in her 90th year. Wilma was the heart and soul of her family. Predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Keith (2021), together they raised five children: Cindy Werry (Dennis), Barry Van Camp (Steven Backs), Leanne O’Donnell (Jim), Debbie Van Camp, and Jay Van Camp (Kelly). She was a cherished grandma to John (Heather), Robert (Tracey), Ashley (Nate), Kaitlin (Peter), Amanda, Erika, Madison, and Haley, and was privileged enough to experience the lives of her 10 great-grandchildren: Paige, Tate, Leah, Anna, Curtis, Chase, Ty, Kenzie, Tilson, and Sadie. Family filled her life with love and meaning. Each member was her pride and joy, and nothing made her happier than to hear of their latest adventures and many accomplishments.
Wilma was predeceased by her parents Wilbur and Elva Toms, sisters Eileen McLaughlin (Harold) and Helen Dorrell (Stuart), and in-laws Merrill, Norma, and Jean Van Camp. She is survived by her sister-in-law Aileen Van Camp and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A lifelong resident of Blackstock, home was Wilma’s favorite place to be. Wilma was able to remain in the comfort of her home thanks to the care and support extended by Steven and Barry throughout her declining years.
The family of Wilma Van Camp will receive friends at the Blackstock United Church, 3483 Church Street in Blackstock, on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 10 – 11 a.m. A service to celebrate Wilma’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Interment at Cartwright Union Cemetery, Blackstock. A reception will follow.

In Loving Memory Of Steve left us unexpectedly on Sunday, December 29, 2024, to be with his Lord and Saviour. Loving husband to Debbie and adoring and engaged father to Emily and Hailey (Brayden). Devoted son of Marg and big brother and friend to Mike (Jennifer). Brother-in-law to Janet Maclean (Dayne), Al Gray (Karen), Paul Gray (Terri), and Bob Martindale (Darlene). Uncle to sixteen nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Bob, father and mother-in-law Stan and Merle Gray, and sister-in-law Pat Martindale.
Steve will be remembered for his kindness, quirky nature, curiosity, and creativity. He loved working with his hands, playing board games with family, reading, experiencing nature, and doting on his cats.
We would like to thank our family and friends for all their kindness and generosity as we face the heartache of so suddenly losing Steve. We would also like to thank the paramedics, doctors, and fire and police services for their efforts and compassion, particularly Dr. Cheung and Kristen Maynard-Dingle at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Vincent Murray Craig, age 71, on December 29, 2024. Vincent was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear brother, whose memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Vincent is survived by his devoted wife Jeanne and his loving children Vincent, Sean, and Krystal, along with their spouses. He was also the proud stepfather to Paul, Robert, Jennifer, and the late Cindy, who greeted him in heaven. Vincent found great joy in being a grandfather and great-grandfather. He shared a special bond with his twin sister Viola, who was a constant and loving presence in his life.
Though his passing was sudden, Vincent's legacy of kindness, generosity, and laughter will remain with those who loved him. He had a heart of gold, always putting his family first. His strong character and unwavering dedication to his loved ones made him a cherished figure in the lives of all who knew him.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donato Cappuccitti on December 9, 2024, at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa, in his 94th year. Predeceased by his parents Luigi and Restituta, and siblings Giuseppe, Armando, Vincenzo, and Francesca. Loving husband of Maria. Adored father of Anna Maria (Michael), Luigi (Diane), and Angela (Darren). Devoted Nonno to Ryan, Adam (Jessica), Marc, Matthew (Shannon), Jadie (Kevin), Samantha, Courtney, and Amber. Proud Great Nonno to Braedan, Carter, Mila, Kylie, Vinny, Marco, Matteo, and twins, Maddox and Milanna.
Born in Sora, Italy, Donato immigrated to Canada at the age of 25 with his wife Maria. He retired as a Master Supervisor from Sklar Pepplar Furniture Company and was a longstanding member of the Oshawa Italian Club. Donato enjoyed playing bocce, cards, fishing, watching soccer and hockey, and tending to his outstanding vegetable garden. He will be fondly remembered for his passion for homemade food and his famous "Dad's wine," his warm smile, and for spending as much time as he could with family, friends, and step-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the People Parish, 570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa, on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 10:30 AM, followed by entombment at Resurrection Cemetery in Whitby.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Renée Laurette Cummings (nee Paradis) on December 3rd, 2024, at Lakeridge Health Center in Oshawa in her 91st year.
She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Henry, and is survived by her children: Daniel (Sue), Karen, Kevin, and Stephen (Lindell); grandchildren: Matthew (Rebecca), Zachary, Cameron, Ysabel, Tyler; and great-grandchildren Makayla and Maisie. Daughter of Ernest Paradis and Blanche Lajoie, she was born in Ottawa, Ontario, and came from a family of eleven children. She will be fondly remembered by her extensive family and friends.
Renée was an avid reader and genealogist who enjoyed researching her family history and spending time with loved ones. She resided at Amica Whitby for the past five years, forming many cherished friendships. Special thanks to the staff at Amica for their kindness and care during her residency.
Visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234), on Friday, December 13th, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 214 Simcoe St. N in Oshawa, on Saturday, December 14th, at 10:30 am, with interment immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery, 355 Taunton Rd East, Whitby.

The family of Sherry Cormier announce with great sadness her sudden passing at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 81, with her loving husband of 58 years, Gilbert, by her side.
Sherry was the beloved daughter of the late Frances Hamilton (nee Leigh) and the stepdaughter of the late Miller Hamilton. She was the cherished mom of Leigh-Anne Cormier and Theresa Boomhour (nee Cormier) (Scott) and the beloved grandma to Michelle Gopaul. Sherry was the loving sister of the late Ray Speaker (Sheila) and Karen Hamilton (Leon). She also leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Sherry faced many struggles during her time with us, battling fiercely with dignity and grace, and she had the kindest of hearts.
