Douglas, at the age of 79, was the beloved husband of Donna for 52 years.
Loving father of Patricia Ayotte, Cheryl Ayotte, Darlene (André) Bain and Phil (Joanne) Ayotte.
Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his siblings Donald Ayotte (Cathy), Robert Ayotte (Pip) and Lynda Fisher (the late Fred); and will be dearly missed by his extended family and many friends.
Visitation will take place at the MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME , 21 Garrard Road, Whitby on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. A Reception will follow in the Arbor Lounge.

Often called "my Renaissance man" by his wife Dagmar Busshoff, Dave explored his diverse talents, interests, and creativity throughout his 74 years.
As an artist, he produced amazing works in a range of media including stone, wood, metal, and photography.
As a consumer of adventures, Dave enjoyed scuba diving, golfing, motorcycle riding, woodworking, world travels, and nature.
As an educator, Dave was encouraging and patient, inspiring creativity in his students of all ages.
His friends and family recall his wicked sense of humour, his big heart, and his easy laughter.
Dave will be deeply missed by his wife, Dagmar, his siblings, his in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Fare thee well, Dave.

It is with great sadness the family of Douglas Wayne Cretney; a devoted husband, cherished father, proud grandfather, and accomplished professional, announce his passing on February 7, 2024, at Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born, December 9th, 1944 in Toronto, Ontario to Katherine (Kay) nee Crosby and Robert Cretney he leaves behind his sister Nancy Sherwood (Ron).
Doug will be loving remembered by his beloved wife of 42 years, Pauline; his children and stepchildren: Scott (Trish), Shane (Megan), Wendy (Simon), Jason (Elizabeth), and his grandchildren: Luke, Alexandra, Samantha, Dylan, Rachel, Carter, Michael, Brandon, Brett, and Jacob, as well as his furbaby Puddy and his extended family members.
Professionally, Doug served as the Vice President of Operations for BPX before transitioning into a senior managerial role at TTC post-acquisition, retiring after 30 years.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Doug enjoyed life's simple pleasures. Whether, attending auctions, or enjoying evenings at the local pub, he found joy in the everyday. His legendary Christmas toy drive was a testament to his generosity.
An avid nature enthusiast, Doug nurtured and cared for wildlife, especially his beloved backyard birds, ensuring they were well-fed throughout the winter months.
His connection to the natural world was profound, reflecting his gentle and compassionate nature. While he may be gone, Doug will forever reside in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Ron was in the renovation industry for over 40 years and was the proud owner of “All Seasons General Contracting & Home Improvements”.
Despite facing health challenges in the last few years, Ron passed on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, at the age of 69, surrounded by family members at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.
Ron was a devoted husband and best friend of Dianna Mandzuk for 28 years. He was also a loving father to Derek Branton and Danny Mandzuk.
Ron is the only son of the late Raymond & Mildred Branton and loving brother to Bev & April (Rob Woodcock) and pre-deceased by his sisters Arlene, Donna and Valerie.
Ron was also a loving Uncle to Bill, Debbie, Denise and Diane and he was also a Great Uncle and a Great/Great Uncle to many nieces and nephews, further, to having a profound impact on the lives of many friends and individuals he encountered during his years with us.
In addition, Ron cherished the companionship of his beloved little dog, Scooter, who brought immense joy and comfort to him in the last 8 years.
Though Ron’s physical presence may be gone, his spirit will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the love, laughter, and joy he brought into the lives he touched.
A “CELEBRATION OF LIFE MEMORIAL” for Ron will be held on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Highway 2), 647-362-5428.

Dave passed peacefully after a brief illness Monday April 29th, 2024 at the age of 69 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa surrounded by his wife and children.
Predeceased by his parents Alma and Frank Foote and younger brother Frank.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda of 49 years with whom he had three children, Lois, Christopher (Tammy) and Thomas (Tanya).
He is the proud Grandfather of four Grandchildren, Clara, Addison, Carter and Sloane.
Beloved brother of John (Daniella) and Leisa (Phillip). Brother in law to Cindy (Joe), Roy (Annette), Debbie (Bert), Andy (Anne), Howie (Tammy) and Guy (Thyra) and Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Dave or Uncle Buck as he is affectionately known will be sadly missed.
His sense of humour, wit, kindness, loving heart and joy of laughter were some of the things that made him an amazing Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly.
