Dear brother of Barry (Cathy) Oliver. John spent his entire life in Bowmanville, he truly loved this community.

He could often be found on the porch having a friendly chat with those walking by, especially those walking their dogs.

He was an avid train collector, but above all he cherished his family and times spent together.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville on Monday April 1st from 12 – 1 pm. Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1 pm.

Larry died at his home in Pickering after a long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Lila Hughey (Willumeit), his son Patrick Hughey and wife Linda Hughey (Philip), daughter Lynn Hughey and her husband James Engelbert, and his grand-daughter Jessica Adam.

Larry was born in Crowland to Robert Hughey and Mary Hughey (Alekna) and had his one brother Bob Hughey and sister-in-law Luella Hughey (Holland) who are deceased. He has three nephews: Sean, Dennis and Brian Hughey.

Larry enlisted in the RCMP when he was 19 and trained in Prince Rupert, B.C. And this was his childhood dream. While attending Maple Leaf School he drew numerous pictures of Mounties rescuing people.

While stationed at Smithers B.C. he met and married Lila.

They moved back to Ontario and Larry joined the Crowland Police Force which became the Niagara Regional Police Force. He was a Mason and Grand Master at the Masonic Lodge in Welland.

He worked as the Court Defender in Welland and was promoted from the ranks of Constable to Sergeant and was stationed in Fort Erie before his retirement.

A strong individualist, Larry made many friends and was respected in his community for being an honest, trustworthy, loyal and fair person.

He was a dutiful and loving husband and father and grandfather to Jessica.

He had such a big heart and quiet strength. He is very greatly missed every day and we can only suffer the loss of his wonderful presence.

We know he is relieved of his suffering. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are welcome.

“One Love” It is with shattered hearts that we share that Joanna went home to God.

Joanna, treasured by her only child Ariya, loved by her sisters Krystal and Sarah, was the youngest daughter of Saroj Ramsingh and Anthony Mungal.

She was embraced and loved by her late step-dad Wilson Sherrard, and her step-mom Karen Mungal. She was the beloved sister in-law to Simon and fun loving Aunty to Kaylah, Sierra, Isaiah, Izzy and Delarrah. She was the family member, friend, confidante, and teacher to so many others.

Joanna passed away due to a sudden cardiac event. Joanna tried every moment to shine her light on our world.

Sometimes as we all do, she stumbled , but she fought, knelt and always stood up. She was a devoted single mom to her amazing daughter Ariya.

If you wish to say goodbye to Joanna with love and joy for the gift she gave you of being in your life please attend the visitation which will be held on Friday March 29th 2024 from 11am to 1:00 pm at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, Ontario. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1pm in the same location. A private family interment will take place at a later date.

Jozef was a devoted husband of 57 years to Miroslawa, a pillar of strength and unconditional love. To Gosia, Agnieszka, and Robert, he was a loving father who instilled in them invaluable family values.

Marcin, Wojtek, and Lucia equally treasured him as a father-in-law.

To Anya, Julia, Sebastian, Annika, Sophia, and Sylvia, he was a cherished grandfather whose love knew no bounds.

Jozef symbolized goodness and kindness in its purest form. His gentle demeanour, humility, and inner radiance shone brightly for all to see. Welcoming and approachable, he graced others with his presence, enriching the lives of all fortunate enough to know him.

Dear Nana to Paul (deceased), Jason, Jodie, Allison, Josh and Neil McPhee, April, and Lucas Edwards.

Predeceased by Levi Masterson and Little Dennis Hood. Proud Nana to 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Jo is the last of all her siblings, Jessie & Elwood Pearson, Margaret & Dennis Noonan, Edward Homes, Bid & Norman Mepstead. Nettie, Ed’s wife, talked and laughed with her “Sister Jo” weekly since Edwards passing.

Jo has been a long-time member of the Canadian Corps Ladies Unit since 1956 and has held many positions including many years as President and Honorary life Vice-President of the Parent Unit.

Her love of this veteran’s club has been a big part of Jo’s life. Colour Party, Nevada, Darts, working in the kitchen, worked at Fittings, Coulters, but the best job was crossing guard at E.A. Lovell PS where she received a citizen’s award for warding off a child predator who was caught and convicted.

She also liked fishing, gambling, and bingo. Her biggest love was her family. We would like to thank all of the staff at Age Care Samac for her care in her last days. Also Dr. K. Luces, her family doctor who took care of her for too many years to mention.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa).

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel.

A pillar of strength and generosity, Janina's legacy of love will endure through the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

A funeral service to celebrate Janina's life will be held on March 21, 2024, 11:00 am - 12:00 am, at St. Hedwig’s Church, 411 Olive Avenue, Oshawa, Ontario, where those whose lives were touched by her presence will gather to honor her memory.

As we bid farewell to Janina, may she rest in eternal peace, her legacy of love and compassion serving as a guiding light for all who knew her.
