It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Katherine Taylor (nee Childs), who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 7, 2023, in Port Perry, ON.
Born on September 27, 1945, in the picturesque landscapes of England, Anne's life was a testament to love, dedication, and the timeless values that we hold dear.
Anne's journey was intertwined with that of her beloved husband of 60 years, David, whom she cherished with unwavering devotion.
Married in March 1964, they built a foundation of love and commitment that stood the test of time, a testament of the enduring power of their bond.
Anne's nurturing spirit extended to her cherished children: Steven, Lee (Rob Campbell), Neil (Linda), and Angela. Through her guidance and selflessness, she instilled in them the values of compassion, resilience, and the importance of family.
Her legacy of love continued to flourish through her beloved grandchildren: Rob (Denise) Lindsay (Josh), Jordan (Megan), Paige (Jake), Ryan, and Chloe.
They were the apple of her eye, and Anne's heart swelled with pride as she witnessed their accomplishments and shared in their joys and triumphs.
A testament to Anne's memory will forever be cherished by her great-grandchildren: Leah, Beau, Owen, John & Bianca.
They were blessed to experience her love and wisdom, creating a lasting bond that will be treasured for generations to come. Anne was preceded in death by her dear mother, Rose Childs (nee Bridges), and her father, George Childs.
In remembrance of Anne's life, a celebration of life will be held to honor her memory and celebrate the legacy she leaves behind.

(Devoted and active member of Calvary Baptist Church) Arlene was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, December 7, 2023 after a lengthy illness.
Arlene was a beloved aunt and treasured friend.
She will be sadly missed by all and will forever be lovingly remembered by her niece Tracy Gibson, (Ken, two great nephews, David and Jordan), her nephew Burnie Doidge, (Graham, two great nieces, Spencer and Poppy), by her sister-in-law Susan Patterson as well as the many nieces and nephews of her extended family.
Arlene is predeceased by her parents William and Freida Doidge, two brothers, Bill and Burnie and two sisters, Alice and Susan. Arlene is survived by one brother, Albert.
As Arlene's Christian faith was an essential part of her life, a funeral service will be held for Arlene on Monday, December 18th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Oshawa.
There will be a private family graveside service to follow.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aleksander Jasiowka.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Aleksander passed away on December 6th, 2023 at Centenary Hospital at the age of 69.
Aleksander leaves behind his wife Anna; daughters: Aleksandra Pieta (Paul) and Ursula MacDonald (Andrew); and 5 grandchildren: Jacob, Matthew, Emily, Leo and Oliver.
His passions for music, chess, soccer, fishing and his dog Maja were shared generously with all.
He had a warrior's spirit, yet his sense of humour and love of family sustained him in the darkest of times.
Rest in peace knowing that you are forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church.

He travelled alone to Canada at the age of 19 where he met the love of his life Luise. Together they built a life on hard work and love. His family was his pride and joy.
His smile, laughter and sense of humour will be missed each and everyday.
A memorial service will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry on Friday December 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM with visitation to commence at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow in the fellowship lounge of the funeral home.

87 of Pickering and Oshawa, Ontario passed away, peacefully in his sleep, November 22nd, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Alex was born to parents William and Mary Ann Smith, September 27th, 1936, in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Alex is survived by his daughters Karen (Mike) & Diane (Bob), Son Kevin, grandchildren Kathryn, Christine (Joey), Sarah (Dillon), Laura (Itana), Julie (Andre), Kim (Eric), and Kristy (Craig), great-grandchildren Brycen, Jaxon, Easton, Tenley, Stella and Vinny, Brother Walter, his kitty Tuppence and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Alex was very rarely ill until 4 months ago when we discovered he had metastasized cancer and dementia, which landed him in the hospital. Alex was very happy in his new apartment which he moved to a year ago, he spent many a day sorting his records, movies and books.
Alex was the youngest of 8 children, 5 boys and 3 girls.
There will be no service as the family wishes to mourn in private. The family will scatter Alex’s ashes.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the Cancer Society or Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of April Dubenow, She passed away peacefully at SunnyBrook hospital on Thursday November 23, 2023 at the age of 60.
April was the beloved wife of Paul, cherished mother of Stefanie (Anthony Bardowell) and the late Ryan.
Also Cherished Grandmother to Selina and Evelyn. Dear sister of Keith, Allen, Wendy, Bonny, Marilynne, and Sandra. She will be lovingly remembered by all of her nieces and nephews and the rest of her family and friends.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caring staff at Sunnybrook hospital that made her final days peaceful.
