David Neil Atkinson
November 7, 1956 – January 25, 2023
David passed suddenly and unexpectedly on January 25.
Beloved husband of Debby, and loving father to Elizabeth and Michael (Katie).
He will be greatly missed by his siblings, Peter (Sandy), Susan (John) and Lesley (Dave); sister-in-law Susan (David) and nephews and nieces Stirling (Dusty), Colin (Ciara), Sophia, Allison, and Kathryn (Dan).
Born in Montreal to the late Colin Atkinson and Betty (Daniels) Atkinson, Dave spent his adult life in Ontario (Oakville, Toronto, and Pickering).
He retired in 2018 after a lengthy career in the insurance and transportation sectors. Dave had a love of golf and his passion for music and literature were passed on to Elizabeth and Michael.

He will be remembered by all for his inquiring and analytical mind and quirky sense of humour.

January 20, 1950 - January 25, 2024
Passed away peacefully, with family by his side on January 25, at the age of 74.
Loving husband of Wendy for over 26 years.
Cherished father to Kevin(Tanya) and Pam McArthur(Doug).
Proud poppa of Jordan McArthur, Cameron McArthur, Jadyn Maynard and Rylan Maynard. And great-poppa to Charlie McArthur and Bailey McArthur.
David will be dearly missed by all of his extended family and friends.

Dawn-Marie Ann “Donna” Giguere
After a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, Donna died peacefully with family by her side, in Bowmanville on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 in her 71st year.
Cherished daughter of the late Vernon and Enid LeMercier DuQuesnay.
Beloved wife of the late Shawn.
Loving and devoted mother of Shanna (Ben), Adam, Ashleigh (Charles) Hillier, and Zachary.
Adoring Nana to Kaitlin, Rory, Aria, and Gabriel.
Dear sister of the late Althea (Michael) Abrahams, Peter (Annette) LeMercier DuQuesnay, the late Vanessa (Raymond) Whorms, Lorraine (Johnny) Neale, the late Mary (Peter) Goodson, Thomas "Tommy" (Leonie) LeMercier DuQuesnay, and the late Christina "Tina" (Christoper) Sorapure. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends.
Donna was an avid reader of mysteries. She enjoyed walking and spending time with her family playing games and watching Jeopardy.

Dorothy Kitch-Churchill
Passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 86.
Dorothy was the loving Mother of Steven (predeceased) and Tracy (Ian), and proud and cherished grandmother of Emma, Aidan, Benjamin, and Jacob.
She will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends.

Damien James (D.J.) Smith
July 15, 1980 - January 18, 2024
It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the sudden passing of D.J.
Predeceased by his mom Jenny, whom he loved with all his heart, and his father Leslie.
D.J. leaves behind his loving second family of Garry Lemoine of Whitby, and Holly Davis, Goppa to her children Quinton, Alyssa and Jailynn, of Cobourg.
D.J. will be forever missed by countless friends from all over including but certainly not limited too those at Tim Hortons, Big Boys Burgers, and his Frank's Bar and Grill Family.
D.J. loved watching and playing sports especially football, hockey and baseball, and was an avid animal lover.
D.J. had an infectious laugh and smile and there is nothing he wouldn't have done for those he loved.

Derrick Blair Rose
December 30, 1956 - January 16, 2024
After a short but courageous battle with liver cancer (diagnosed on November 27), Derrick passed away on January 16, 2024.
Derrick's last wish was to leave hospital and go home.
He spent his last few days at home with his loving family surrounding, supporting and caring for him.
Derrick leaves behind his soul mate of over 40 years Janet, his two adored sons Brandon and Blair, sisters Sandra (Harold) and Cynthia (Ian), his brother Stanley (Neli), loving sister-in-law Linda (Ron), brother-in-law David (Shirley) and nephews/nieces Robert, Elyse, Jocelyn, Brad, Shaun, Christopher, Stephen, and Crystal.
He brought smiles to many faces through his many acts of kindness, story telling, matter of fact attitude and sense of humour.
Derrick was loved by all and will be missed immensely.
We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and that predeceased loved ones were there to guide him on his journey.
As per Derrick's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of Derrick's life will take place at a later date.
Doreen “Betty” Kerr
April 23, 1934 - January 12, 2024
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Doreen Elizabeth (Betty) Kerr; on January 12, 2024, peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, ON at the age of 89.
Predeceased by her son John Kerr (2005), her daughter Lillian Cuddy (1966) and her brother Hugh McGill (1987).
Cherished mother of Robert Kerr, Russell Kerr, Elizabeth Harold (Kerr), Beatrice Sandfoehr (Cuddy); and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
Betty was born in St. John, NB but lived the majority of her life in Ontario close to her family.
She was a dedicated single mother who raised 5 children on her own.
She enjoyed travelling, playing euchre, shuffleboard, darts and bingo with friends at the Oshawa Seniors Centre.
She will be lovingly remembered by all as the kind, special, fun-loving lady that she was.
Resting peacefully at: ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King St. E., Oshawa, ON. Visitation is Saturday January 20, 2024 from 2- 3 pm; Followed by a service at 3:00 p.m.

With sadness today we lost our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great aunt.
Predeceased by her very loved husband of 61 years, Edward Lipchick.
Loving mother of Jeffrey & Bradley, grandmother of Steven.
Sister of Marlene Wikaruk (Donald Wikaruk).. Aunt of Tracy and Andrea, great aunt of Mercedes, Max, and Carly.
Dear friend for 65 years with Heidi and Bill Morrison, also Sheila Makins for many years.
As per Dorothy's wishes, there will be no formal funeral services, and cremation has taken place.
