Born in Oshawa on June 9, 1929, passed away at St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton on May 25, 2023, at the age of 93 to be with her precious Saviour Jesus.

She is predeceased by her parents Leonard and Mary Vann.

Peggy is much loved by her husband Arn of 73 years of marriage (June 9); daughter Debra Bitonti (Sam) and son Walter Gallinger (Marilee); 5 grandchildren - Crystal Bezusko (Luke), Jenna Leite (Jason), Samantha Jean (Guillaume), Erik Gallinger (Shayna), and April Steegstra (Caleb); 6 great-grandchildren - Lyla and Easton Bezusko, Isabelle and Madeleine Leite, Benjamin and Evelyn Steegstra, and Harper Gallinger.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Trulls Road Free Methodist Church, Courtice, on Sat. June 24 at 1:00 pm. Donations to Trulls Road Free Methodist Church.

Passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Hospital at the age of 62.

Very loved son, brother and uncle.

He leaves behind his parents, Ed and June Sobanski.

Loving brother of David, Gary (Yvonne) and Jill (Ryan). Proud uncle of Daryl (Marilyn), Sarah, Michelle, Kyle, Trina, Shaylynn and Kaiden. Great uncle of Evelyn and Sophia.

Dear nephew of Mike Kuzyk and Helen Morton. He will be sadly missed by his cousins, extended family and friends.

A special thank you to all the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital and the staff at The Carriage House, 4th floor, for all their extraordinary care and compassion during his time there. Paul, also known as “Paully”, was a happy, kind and loving person.

His compassion for life and his family was incredible and his appreciation for others never went unnoticed. He enjoyed travelling, dancing and music, especially when he had jam sessions with his brothers.

Paul attended the PPC Dowty Community Centre for nearly 40 years until his health declined. He was a true joy to everyone who had the opportunity of knowing him and will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4th, 2023 from 5:00p.m to 8:00p.m at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road in Whitby ON. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 5th, 2023 at 10:30a.m at Holy Family Catholic Parish, 91 Ribblesdale Dr, Whitby ON.

Nellie was born May 13, 1927 in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands to Johannes and Adrianna Vanderzwet. Loving mother of Sophie (James) Lindsay and Mary (Ken) Noakes.

Proud grandmother to Holly (Dennis) Noakes, Alison Lindsay (Brian Davis), Natalie Ibbitson (Rocky Rehel) and Kevin (Nella) Noakes.

Great grandmother Oma to Logan, Addison, Porter, Lennon, Gracie Mae, Carter and Emma.

Predeceased by her son Johnny (1955) and her loving husband Harold Strutt (1993). Loving sister of Gerard Vanderzwet (deceased), Helen and John Vandermeer (both deceased), John and Anne Vanderzwet (both deceased), Wilma (deceased) and John Kryger, Cathy and Carl Slierings (both deceased), Nancy Mazzochi (Philip, deceased), Sophia (deceased) and John Hroncich and Frank and Lynda Vanderzwet.

Loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed many hobbies, sewing, knitting, euchre, bingo and puzzling. She also enjoyed great fun vacations to Florida with Harold and her sisters.

The casino was a must with her sister Helen at all hours anytime.

Peter Edgar Secord, age 53, passed peacefully and surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 7, 2023.

Born August 20th, 1969, in Scarborough, Ont., to parents Donald and Lois Secord (Wall).

He was the youngest of four Secord children and beloved by everyone who crossed paths with him.

Peter married his best friend and partner for life, Colette Secord (Walsh), on October 14th, 1995, and they raised three children together in Bowmanville, Ont.

Peter lives on through his wife of 27 years, Colette, his son Jordan Secord and his daughters Ashlyn and Meagan Secord.

He is also remembered by his two grandchildren Rylynn and Grayson, as the best Poppy they could ever ask for.

Finally, Peter is remembered by the family he has met in the moving industry, starting at Lewis Movers for United Van Lines and ending at AMJ North Bay for Atlas Van Lines.

He built a life for his friends and family that is full of beautiful memories, lots of laughter and more love than they could ever need.

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Patrick in the early hours of May 3, 2023.

Patrick was 79. He was born to Thelma and James Lee in Kingston, Jamaica, January 3, 1944.

In the 1970s, he emigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, then moved to Ajax, Ontario in the early 90s.

Patrick is predeceased by his brother Carleton and sister-in-law Cynthia, and sister Dorothy Williams. He will be greatly missed by brothers Lester (wife Catherine) and Richard (wife Lynn), brother-in-law Justin, his many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and godchildren.

Patrick had a big heart with a thoughtful and generous nature. He was the quiet person in a crowd, but filled conversations with his wit and humor. He had a full and busy life, but always thought of others and never hesitated to volunteer his time at the Tsung Tsin Association of Ontario.

Patrick’s family extends their appreciation to Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital and Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital for the compassionate care he received.

Visitation and viewing will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax), on Thursday, May 11th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, on Friday, May 12th at 11 a.m. Cremation.
