William “Bill” Henry Pemberton
Unexpectedly, on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his home in Victoria Harbour, at age 65.
Bill Pemberton, loved father of Christian Pemberton (Mariana), Miki Simmons (Bryan), Jonathon Pemberton (Nikki) and predeceased by his son William Pemberton (survived by his wife Mary).
Proud grandpa of William, Hugh, Matthias, Raphael, Hermione, Eleanor, Olivia, Alice, Owen, Aislyn, Sofie, Lucas, Isla, Lachlan, Harrison, Ella, Amelia and Ava.
Bill will be missed by his siblings Kathleen, Laura, Robert and David.
He will be lovingly remembered by his friend and the mother of his children Maryanne.

Wilson Hastings Patterson
February 8, 1933 – August 2, 2022
It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Wilson Hastings Paterson on Tuesday August 2nd.
Loving husband of Sandra Paterson and father of Allan (Leslie), David (Jackie) and Scott (Lisa) and Grandfather to Devin and Emma.
As the founder of Royal Ashburn Golf Club, Wilson will be remembered for the lasting contributions to the Town of Whitby and the game of golf.
Wilson was proud of his family and always supportive. He could be quiet in a “you need to figure this out for yourself” way while still providing direction and coaching to ensure positive results.
He was an avid outdoorsman who shared his passion for fishing and hunting.
Wilson was supportive, encouraging, and selfless.
He knew life was created through hard work and determination and would often say “reach for the stars and you might hit the moon.”
We love you and you will be missed, but you will live on in all of us.

Wendy Lynn Roberts
Passed away on July 19, 2022, due to pancreatic cancer.
She was just 56 years old.
Wendy was born on July 5, 1966 to Terry and Hugh Sutherland in Toronto, Ontario.
Wendy always said that the birth of her twin daughters, Alicia and Taylor, was the best moment of her life.
Wendy loved children, which was a large part of why she chose to work at Make-A-Wish Canada.
Helping to promote life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses was one of her true joys in life.
Wendy was brilliant, charming, passionate and funny.
She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh with family and friends.
We will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always.
Wendy is survived by her father Hugh, husband André, twin daughters Alicia and Taylor, and three sister Sharon (Ross)
McDonald (Kelsey and James); Joanne (Ken) McDonald (Emma, Jessica and Nicolas); Kristine (Todd) McKenna (Courtney, Amy and Haley).
While Wendy’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember Wendy in a way that honors her spirit. Her husband André and daughters invite family and friends to join them in a Celebration of Life Ceremony.
Visitation will take place at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME in Whitby on July 26 starting at 11AM, followed by a Celebration of Life in the chapel at noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Make-A-Wish Canada.
Funds raised will be used to grant a wish for a child with critical illnesses.
Werner Heinz Schroth
July 28, 1931 - July 16, 2022
Bloved Papa, Opa (Ops), and great Opa, was called home Saturday July 16, 2022.
It was a peaceful passing.
Werner was born in Germany on July 28, 1931 and immigrated with his wife Olga, son Michael and brother-in-law Rudi in 1959 and co-created a beautiful life with his family.
He lived as a gentle soul and had a kind, grateful and generous spirit.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter Angela (Rick) Hauke, his treasured grandchildren Melissa (Chris) Gardner, Kayla (Devon) Sweny, Adam (Jen) Hauke and his joyful great grandchildren Brooke, Amy, Mia, Emmett, Abby and Colton.
Praise the Lord that he is reunited with all his loved ones gone before.

Peacefully passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 79.
Bill was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, grew up in Vancouver, B.C. and lived the rest of his adult life in Ontario.
Beloved husband of Carol (nee: Lunau) together for 45 years.
Loving father of Tammy (Frank), Coralee (Jeff), Sarah (David), and Marilyn (Andrew).
Cherished grandfather of Christian, Grace, Jacqueline, Claire, Arthur and Delphine.
Survived by his brother Bob Carpenter, brother-in-law Bob Ross, sister-in-law Joyce Lunau and predeceased by sister Pat Ross. Loved uncle of Michael and Daniel Madryga. Predeceased by his parents Archie and Teri Carpenter.
Visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, Whitby, on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 4:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 4:30 p.m. Cremation to follow.

Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday July 14, 2022, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 81st year.
Predeceased by her beloved Husband, Idzi (d. 1984).
Loving Mother of Diane Flintoff (nee: Czekaj) and John Czekaj.
Cherished Babcia of Julia and Larissa Flintoff. Julia and Larissa were her gwiazdki, the stars of her life.
They loved their Babcia with all their hearts and had a very special bond.
We will all miss you more then words can say, our dearest Mama / Babcia xoxoxoxo.
A special thank you to the paramedics, emergency staff, Dr. Blair Bigham and nurse Jenn at LHO for their expert emergency services and emotional support to Wanda’s children.
Wanda will also be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her extended family and close friends in Canada and in Poland, as well as her beloved sister Władzia and brother Czesław in Poland.

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 in his 89th year.
He now is reunited with his beautiful bride Mabel.
Loving mother of Karyne, Cameron (Lynette) and Stephen.
Cherished grandfather of Emily, Natasha and James.
Dear brother of Marjorie (the late Wallace), George (the late Gladys), Raymond (Juanita), Irene (Ralph), Edna (the late Gary), and the late Jethro, John and Selina and brother-in-law of James Porter (the late Marie).
Wyman will be sadly missed by the Prentice Family of Northern Ireland and his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Also missed by his retiree General Motors breakfast club friends.
A special thankyou to the Lakeridge Health Cardiac Unit nurses and Dr. Andalib for their tender care of Wyman and putting up with his antics.
A celebration of life will be held at THE SALVATION ARMY WHITBY (710 McQuay Blvd., Whitby) on Sunday, June 26th, visitation from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
