It is with heavy hearts that the family of Thelma Aileen Sandberg (nee: Bole) announces her peaceful passing.Thelma joined the Kingdom of Heaven on December 2, 2020 at the Hillsdale Estate – Oshawa at the age of 79.Beloved wife of Jim Sandberg for 53 beautiful years.Together, Jim and Thelma raised their cherished daughters Joan (Ken) and Janet (Lincoln).We take peace in knowing that Thelma is now with her daughter Joan, who predeceased her in 2013.Treasured Grandma to Lizzie, Amy, Yannik, and Mika. Tadeusz Henryk Szulak, born Friday, June 8th, 1923 in Bialystok, Poland, passed with his granddaughter by his side, Saturday, November 28th, 2020.Ted led a robust life.A WW2 veteran and General Motors retiree, he valued a simple existence. 1956 - 2020 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Tantsis at the age of 64.He was also known and lovingly called Tom, Tome, Thomakis, μπαμπά (Baba), Dad, Bratchko, Tomche, Papa Tantsis, and Stupid Scrooge.He lost his long hard battle to Glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. Tom passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 1, 2020.Tom is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Marian and his children Emily and Michael (Lindsay).His mother Emilia and his brothers Christos (Katerina) and George. His nieces and nephews Rita (Antoni), Mary (George), Tanya (Mike), Joshua (Kaity) and Nicolas.His sister-in-law Helen (Frank) and brothers-in-law Steven and Perry. As well as, many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father Trifon Tantsis. In 1973, Tom immigrated from Greece.He was a loving husband and father who worked tirelessly to provide for his family, as his family meant the world to him. The Greek music was always playing, he would dance to anything, and he loved to entertain and feed family and friends. He fought the complications of a stroke for 13 years.Terry had a 30-year career teaching history at Dr. F.J. Donevan Collegiate in Oshawa. His students experienced his passion for history and politics.Terry was an ardent supporter of the Liberal Party and spent many elections working for candidates in the Oshawa area.He was a member of the Oshawa Rotary Club (former President), Friends of the Library, CLOCA, the Durham Cancer Society, Life Long Learners and he conducted a politics class for several years at the Oshawa Seniors Centre. Terry was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Ruth McCarl.He was the beloved brother of Pam Thompson and her husband Bill. Devoted uncle of Bill (Genevieve), Christy (Perry), Becky (Phil) and Greg (Ashley).
