Ben Savelli

Ben Savelli

Listed in

DECEMBER 30, 1930 – OCTOBER 24, 2022

On October 24, 2022 Benedetto Savelli passed away peacefully at the age of 91.

Ben was the loving husband of the late Betty (his “pride and joy”).

Wonderful father to daughter Debbie (Ron) and Brenda (Clint).

Proud Papa to Karissa, Jesse (Flor) and Colton (Jenna).

And caring Great Grandfather to Cohen and Cara.

Survived by his sister Mary.

Predeceased by his brothers John, Pat, and Peter. And sisters Joy, Eva and Sarah.

He was known as Ben, Benny and even Benjamin Franklin (when he was in trouble), but no matter what you called him, to know him was to love him.

He loved people and had a soft spot for orphans and widows many of whom shared our home over the years.

He was a great example of hospitality, often making last minute additions to the guest list for dinner, but there was always enough to go around and best of all, we had the opportunity to make new friends.

Quick with a silly joke, he brought a smile to many faces.

This caring attitude for others really shone when he shared with them his greatest love – his God Jehovah.

To his last days he was actively sharing his wonderful hope for the future.

A future in paradise was his confidence and he wanted all he met to have that hope as well.

He will be greatly missed until we meet again in the new system.
