(December 28, 1938 – May 5, 2020) - Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020 at Lakeridge Health Hospital (Oshawa) in his 81st year. Beloved Husband to Maura (nee Mangan) for 50 incredible years. Wonderful loving father to Barry and Brendan (Faith). Super Grampy to his amazing granddaughter Lumїna.Cherished brother to Lilly (Allister), Una (Sean deceased), Ann (Martin), Peter (Heather), John (Marie) and Jim (Sandra).Will be fondly remembered as Uncle Noel by his many loved nieces and nephews in England and Ireland. Predeceased by parents Thomas Lawless (Dublin) and Elizabeth (nee Fitzpatrick) (Dublin) and sister Trish (Fred) Lee (Dublin).Born in Dublin Ireland and emigrated to Canada in 1967. Known as Tommy to his friends, he was a Steamfitter by trade and loyal member of UA Local 46. Soft spoken with a heart of gold. An aviation enthusiast and talented man. His gentle voice will be remembered caressing the notes from his twelve-string to the tapping of his slippered feet. His wit and intelligence are enshrined in his many writings, and the expression of his kind soul will be relived in his drawings. His annual monologue of ‘Christmas in the workhouse’ will be sorely missed. He was a man of great guts!If desired, donations would be appreciated to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

March 9, 1937 – April 20, 2020 Dear only son of Herman and Lillian Midgley (predeceased).Survived by his best friend and wife, Catharine (nee Sheehy).Dearly loved Dad of Michelle (wonderful father-in-law to Rick Mutton), Fiercely loved Poppa to his only grandchild Meaghan Lillie McGuire.Loving brother of Patricia (Gino Leone) (Louisville, Kentucky), Friend and loyal brother in-law to Fred Sheehy (Lorna) (Markham) Godparent to many along with being their dear Uncle. His military service was in the Ontario regiment, Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada and The Canadian Provost Corp.Upon retirement after thirty years with the Ontario Ministry of Correctional Services he enjoyed many renewed and ongoing interests. Due to Social Distancing a Private Anglican burial will take place at the graveside in Pinegrove Cemetary, Prince Albert, Ontario.A Remembrance service for Tom will be held later, at The Anglican Church of the Ascension, Port Perry.

July 10, 1933 - April 19, 2020 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Theodoros (Ted) Tyrovolas after a brief illness, on Sunday April 19, 2020 at Scarborough General Hospital at the age of 86.Beloved husband of the late Toula (nee Nikitopoulos).Loving father of Chris (Niecy), Dino (Rebecca) and Ted (Mauricio).Proud grandfather of Katarina and Kristen.Dear brother of Mike (Eleni), Artemisia (George), Dimitri ((Kostoulla), Pitsa (George), Maria (Themio) and the late George (Theodora). Ted was born in Thana, Greece and came to Canada immediately after his tour in the Greek Navy and settled in Kingston, Ontario. He married his cherished wife (Toula) in 1960 and started a family of three boys. They were very proud parents of Christos, Di-no and Ted Jr. They raised their boys with lots of love and attention. He owned several restaurants in his working life in Goderich, Stratford, Ajax and Oshawa. They were suc-cessful in business because of their strong work ethic and love of people. After retire-ment, they spent most of their time together gardening and taking care of their home. As a family man, spending quality time with his family and relatives always brought him great joy and he felt very proud of his Greek heritage and its traditions. His two grandchildren, Katarina and Kristen were loved dearly and he made sure he attended their activities and special milestones. He was a very principled man as he believed in honesty and integrity and had a strong faith in God. He loved to joke and laugh and was always smiling around people.He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and relatives and his memory will be eternal in the many people he touched. A private funeral service will be taking place on Wednesday April 22 at 1:00pm.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Parkinson Canada or a CHARITY of your choice would be appreciated.Arrangements entrusted to THORNTON CEMETERY and FUNERAL CENTRE .
